First "Five for Monday" with the iPod Touch!! Here it goes:

1) "Carry My Cross" by Third Day From Wherever You Are
I like this song. Good orchestral music in the background. Very much in the vein of "Thief" (another Easter time song they've done)

2) "Cheer Up, Boys (Your Makeup is Running)" by Foo Fighters from Echoes, Silence, Patience, and Grace
Classic Foo Fighters song. Love the opening to it and the harmony "Stops" are pretty cool. Good rock song. Love the Foo

3) "Tonight" by Jeremy Camp from Beyond Measure
I like this version of Jeremy Camp. The rocking out version. I really like this song. Sometime I wish he would just put out an album full of this type of stuff, instead of flip-flopping between adult contemporary and the more rocky stuff

4) "Ocean" by Awake! Awake! from We've Been Strangers
Got this from Noisetrade.com and really am digging it. Vocals need a little work, but sound sort of like The Afters or Mainstay. Good to hear bands that are still in the "underground"

5) "Overflow" by Chris Tomlin from Not To Us
What can you say, it's a Chris Tomlin worship song. Builds in the middle, follows the formula, if I may borrow something from Daniel "blah blah blah" it is probably one of his longer songs (clocking in at 4:35). Yep Sort of an anticlimatic end to the list, especially with the epic "Petra" that Daniel had. Just can't come close to that

I should do this once and a while, it's kinda fun, though I don't have near the collection that most do.

I do have 3 or 4 Petra CDs (Correction, I have 5 and one's a double album. Wow.). They were best in the 70's, really went downhill in the 80's. The album with the KISS knock off 'Seen and Not Heard' (Beyond Belief) is pretty much just bad.
