The president believes that unless you address the root causes of the violence that has afflicted the Middle East, you cannot forge a lasting peace,"
No one in government is willing to address the true root causes of Middle East violence, because they all just pledged allegiance to the root cause by voting 410-8 in the House to support Israel!

The tacticians would say: 'Get an immediate cease-fire. Deal first with the humanitarian factors.' The president would say: 'You have an opportunity to really grind down Hezbollah. Let's take it, even if there are other serious consequences that will have to be managed.'
How incredibly convenient of God to have arranged on his self-anointed favorite's behalf the miraculous circumstance that all the "serious consequences" will be death, maiming, and destruction of people other than himself!
This pile of corruption, this worse than monster, this stinking miasma rising from the swamp of everything vile in human beings...it is illegal to threaten HIS life. But he may murder by action or inaction without repercussions? He is the blood-stained ogre with tales of which any survivors of his madness will frighten their small children into obedience. THAT's his legacy.
For this man, I can persuade myself to belief in hell.

Oh yes! The best way to encourage peace 'n' harmony is to bomb the crap out of people. While we're at it, maybe we can pile the skulls of the dead in attractive pyramids along the roadsides --to serve as warnings for future malefactors.

You get what you pay for, America. You paid for a crazy ass motherfucker; that's what you'll get. Did anyone in their right mind think this frat boy was going to make an able President? He can barely speak. Did they think he would be able to ponder deep moral questions that will affect the world for decades to come and articulate his beliefs? Nooooo!

ROOT CAUSE!?!?!?! HA!
Now granted it came from a admin-lackey but this neanderthal wouldn't recognize root cause if it were a dull sword plunged into the narrow gap between those beady little eyes!
THIS administration that brought us 911 and the responsive "war on terror" killing 100,000 people in the WRONG country is going to do root cause analysis of the strife in the middle east?
If they were actually serious about identifying the root cause they might find it along with some of the why's of 911 by taking a look at OUR OWN middle east policies.
BTW Anyone notice how quickly we sent in marines to Lebanon to rescue Americans? A whole lot faster than they were dispatched to New Orleans!
I guess AIPAC money also speaks louder than dead New Orleanians!

Orchidectomy: Castration (also referred as: gelding, neutering, orchiectomy, and orchidectomy) is any action, surgical, chemical, or otherwise, by which a biological male loses use of the testes.....
Sounds good! If you can find them..

oh.....ok. This whole 911 experience and the whole current strife in the Middle East was all caused by the President of the U.S.? Hmmm. Thanks for the interesting history lesson all ye sophisticated and educated, as YOU, and only YOU, are educated enough to know how to run the world and stop all wars and commence immediate and permanent peace through out all the lands! Uh huh.
Here's another lesson: Get a grip on yourselves immediately! It is so painfull to see all you non Bush lovers try to "one up" us who dispised Bully Clinton. Now he was an ass. And his shit was not candy, although most out there refuse to believe this.

ennis, m'dear, you are not a careful reader. No one asserts that Mr. Bush attacked the Towers on 9/11...but he has made some decisions which were not the wisest since that dreadful occurrence.
Not least of which was going into Iraq, the nation that didn't attack us. Ex post facto explanations that even without WMD the assault on Iraq was justified because of the merciless regime...well, pretty unconvincing in view of the company Mr. Bush doesn't mind keeping.
Incidentally, even casual exposure to blogging might have led you to suspect that some blogs are forums for sharing information and inviting responsive essays. Some are for sharing information and inviting reaction.
You may not care for the reactions...the door, by the way, is never locked from the outside...but reactions probably don't fall into "good" and "bad". They just fall into "how I felt at the moment" and "it seemed a good idea at the time".
It's how I chose to view your reaction, in any event.
God speed to the land where one does not make one man taller by digging a ditch beneath the feet of another! It might take some getting used to, but you might find you like it there.

at the risk of feeding trolls, I'd like to say that when WTC was attacked the first time, "Bully Clinton" had the terrorists arrested, jailed, tried convicted and sentenced. (The sentences were carried out.)
The last legitimately elected US president to serve as president(Clinton), started no wars, eliminated the debt, created jobs, worked with the House and Senate, broke no federal laws(no wiretapping or illegal spying, did not interfere with House, Senate or independent investigations) and worked toward health care for all. He engaged in diplomacy, was respected in foreign countries, and was able to string more than 2 words together to form complete and meaningful sentences without the need for someone to clarify for the world what he did or did not mean.
He treated the environment with respect and took nothing for granted. He showed disdain toward no one, nor did he shun those who would disagree with him. No one was disappeared during his terms in office. Nor were there "free speech zones" as everyone's opinion was given respect. Even when it was aimed to bring hurt toward him and toward his family.
(And I did not personally care for the man although I voted for him - twice.) I was at least proud to be an American then - except for NAFTA, CAFTA, and the sanctions against Iraq. I am certain I have left out some things that others will remember.

This picture puzzled me. I looked in the mirror and saw that my eyes are on a line about 2/3 from the tops of my ears. And set much further away from the center of my face than this thing. Then I started looking at bunches of pictures of people on the web.
This thing is not from this planet.

Time for the invader from the DelMarican Republic to learn a new word: BLOGORRHEA: The incessant whining about what is posted on a blog or Internet site without taking the time to discern the context.
Max: When phrenology was fashionable in the late 19th Century, the unibrow, close-set, squinty eyes, and prominent ears that protruded from the side of the head below the medial portion of the eyes were considered markers for dim-wittedness, untrustworthiness and general criminal tendencies. Xristim,
"God speed to the land where one does not make one man taller by digging a ditch beneath the feet of another."
I'd like to suggest that we amend this beautiful aphorism by a codicil allowing a ditch under W that is approximately 6 feet deep and three feet wide in which he may stand horizontally as long as he may want.
Not that we're denigrating. Nothing at all like that. In fact, we're advocating proper soil maintenance and recycling. . .

When you learn to spell truly, you will then realize what a poltroon this pResident is. Although he resides in the White House, he has no place there and once gone, it will take decades to undo the damage he has wrought to this planet - not to mention the house of the people.

oh and ennis,
FYI the definition of common (as in bush is a "common man", just a "regular guy", "someone you'd like to have a beer with")
a.Not distinguished by superior or noteworthy characteristics; average
b.Of no special quality; standard
c.Of mediocre or inferior quality; second-rate
d.Unrefined or coarse in manner; vulgar
There's your "truely" great man.
