I love this concept of responding to photos.I have been doing this in my journalling group and it can be a powerful medium for thoughts ,feelings and just purely recording the day.Yes I agree Blogging can feel like a monologue.I have only started so it really is quiet but no worries as it gets the ideas out there.I will enjoy viewing your site.
