Gravatar Great minds think alike!

Gravatar David, You're too kind. As for an open-source search engine, there's one called Nutch that is being developed:

For the record, I believe B2B search will be as different from "consumer search" (Google, et. al) in a few years as B2B media is from consumer media today. I'm not in the "Google is the enemy" camp, but there is no way they can be everything to everybody and be in the B2B space where at the end of the day, it's about solving problems for a very small (relatively speaking) audience. I have another recommendation: If "competitors" in specific business verticals cooperate with one-another in developing industry-specific standards of taxonomies, they can offer B2B advertisers a much-more compelling product than a consumer-oriented search company can. While I don't advocate walling-off Google, I do think that B2B companies have great opportunities in the search arena.

I appreciate the link, and support your recommendation whole-heartedly!
