Weren't they powered by elastic bands or something? A sort of pre-Skoda car that everyone joked about?

leyland daf made them. they were powered by coal. they were a joke in some quarters but not amongst my mates. mark heron might have had a daf and a job in betting shop but at least we didn't have to beg our dads to pick us up from gigs in newcastle. cunty cars have been a thing with me ever since. i had a robin reliant for three years recently.
