Re: House purchase - congrats! Retirement-ville at your age, I dunno. Is this a holiday home or are you moving up full time?
Re: Weekend - Hmmm. Too much information? You hoping for a nice surprise?
Seriously though, we were up near there a couple of months ago. You'll love it.

Are you serious about the lockers? Our local (public) school was filling skips with old furniture last time I went past...

I'll call my friend the bursar's secretary (and failing that take a trip out that way - I need to take some glass to the bottle bank) and see what's going. Will let you know later. Don't get too excited now

Congratulations - have a stick of Blackpool rock, and a round of Crazy Golf for me. Do they still ride donkeys down by the North Pier?

Congratulations on your acquisition. My mother used to go to Blackpool in the 1940s but the war was on.

Skip - full of old desks, orange plastic chairs and polystyrene. My interest has been duly noted though, and there will be (wooden) lockers going in the next couple of weeks apparently (ex the staffroom). Do you have a specific size in mind as it's the sort of thing I often see being chucked out when I'm in schools, or at auction sales etc.
Amyl nitrate - Essential ingredient for microscopy of bees. Had a large bottle delivered here about 18 months ago now. Sorry, no longer in my possession. Gave the bees, as well as me, a stinky headache.

Wooden or metal lockers would suffice if they're going cheap. 2 sets. 6 feet high would be the ideal kind.
Dave's collection of World War Two Head Squares will be taking pride of place in Bedroom 3, by the way.

I hope you've bought Edward a birthday present too, as dogs do get jealous if others get all the attention.
I thought that this might be appropriate
Anyway, have a great time, all of you.
