I finally asked an English coworker what "cnut" meant, cuz I only see it on English blogs.

Similarly, when I first got to NYC, I couldnt figure out why some many guys on Gaydar and Manhunt were "evil".

Reminds me when I stood in as holiday relief for the classified editor of Boyz in the pre-Gaydar days, and I believed that W/E meant someone who lived in the West End...
