you have to remember the first day you brought Barry back from Battersea. How he stuck to you the whole time and wouldn't let you out of his sight. you have to remember all the good fun you had with him and what a fantastic life you gave him. if he is in pain then it's time to let him go before it gets any worse.

Sorry to hear about Barry Dave.
Best friends? They can sometimes be a complete pain in the arse, a wanker, selfish, an idiot, un-thinking and thoughtless etc. BUT they are always worth working for. Trust me.

Like Tom says above, Barry has had a wonderful life and brings so much pleasure. He's still happy and isn't ill yet. He won't suffer.
