When my mam would visit me in London the outing that provided both of us with actual enjoyment was attending tapings of BBC Radio shows--comedies or quiz shows. I can't remember where I would find out about them and get tickets, but it was free, a chance to stare at "stars" at very close range, and actually good fun (especially the foul-mouthed bit at the beginning before they started rolling the tape).

I'm doing it the opposite way. I'm off back to Worcester in June. Do you think they think of me in the same way that you think of your Mother? "Clumsy cow". Oh the young can be soooo unkind. I'M 87!!
