Gravatar Stardust's son produces drum n bass and hip hop under the name "Adam F". Anybody else young and cool enough to know this music?

Gravatar I'm cool enough, but not young enough to know adam F.

Cool book.

Gravatar I'm sure Ming Caimbeul is.

Gravatar "Who's that dancing in the red flag? I want you yes, I want you, yes..."

Glam rock - so much better than glum rock.

Dave, did you realise how timely that book would be when you wrote it?

Gravatar Ah, quality British journalism. That's the kind of thing I miss in the German media. How do they do it, the national nightly news programme on the first state television channel including weather and sport in only 15 minutes? A lack of Alvin Stardust, I suspect. Even the Newsnight-equivalent manages to do without a lot of this kind of thing. Though there is a "and finally" slot.

Gravatar Talk is cheap.

I don't know what's worse, those who talk 'left' to get elected e.g. many TU leaders, and then don't do what they promised or those that actually think 'left' but keep quiet until 'retired' or otherwise out of the firing line.

It's shame that instead of bemoaning UK cpaitalism he didn't try and do more about it when TUC General Secretary. With such a record, I wouldn't trust a word of his comments or analysis.

Gravatar But enough about Alvin Stardust, what do you reckon to John Monks?

Gravatar MUST... BUY... BOOK...

On another note, yes, Alvin's son does produce drum & bass under the name Adam F (the 'F' standing for Freeland) and works with DJ Fresh (or Dan Stein to his mum and dad) under the Breakbeat Kaos record label.

I quite like Adam F. Some of his stuff is good - 'Circles' is lovely. He has a rather excellent show every other Friday night on Kiss 100. (That's a dance music station, Dave.)

Another fact, politics-and-drum-and-bass-related-fact fans, is that Lincoln Barrett's - a.k.a. High Contrast - is a Labour Co-op member of the Welsh Assembly.

London Elektricity, however, aren't really owned by the French Government.

There should be a 'mum' after "Lincoln Barrett's".

You may hit me around the head with a heavy sack of satsumas, if you like.
