Always good to hear. The importance of Crow and the left running the RMT is often forgotten.
Speaking to an RMT branch secretary a couple of days ago, he admitted he joined Labour a few years ago because that was the only way to be elected to any position in the union (this was in solidly Labour Rhondda).
He said Crow now meant he didn't have to keep up that pretence - Crow's open backing for the SSP, Forward Wales, Greens and Plaid Cymru (at various times) may seem a little contradictory but he's actually opened up a space for the left to breathe.
His uncompromising stance has also emboldened activists of all colours at a difficult time for the left.
