The Dawn Patrol: Comments |
Hey Dawn |
Londongirl, I don't know, but they could tell you if you call the church. Look forward to meeting you and your friends. |
Don't panic - you'll be fine... |
Hi Dawn, |
In Dublin, be sure to check out the street music scene on Grafton St. When I was there, there were harpists and violinists along with the requisite guitarist/singer/songwriter types. |
You're gonna do great, Dawn! |
Proud of you and can't wait to see the show! |
Hey! |
Dawn - I could not see you at your only appearance in my area at Seton Hall in South Orange, NJ. I for sure will catch you on Life on the Rock. All the best & God bless you |
Praying for you! Now if only I can get my husband to give up a night of Ken Burns' documentary on World War II so we can watch EWTN... |
Being the dutiful son I am, I called my Mom about 20 mns ago to see how she was and she said "Can I call you back Dawn Eden is on" and hung up! I will get to watch the program later tonight on my local cable stations that carries EWTN at night. |
BRAVA, DAWN! The show is just signing off. You did GREAT! Very proud of you. |
What a pleasure to meet you via "Life on the Rock"! You did a great job, Dawn, on the show. I'm a published novelist dedicated to writing what I call "authentic realism." By that term I mean the kind of real life journey we all take--a journey that definitely involves struggling with relationships with opposite sex types as well as our journey with the Lord. The two journeys must be intertwined, it seems to me, or we will inevitably "objectify" each other. Any time we do that, we lessen our sense of our own worth, and we open ourselves to buying into all kinds of nonsense from our highly secularized culture. Keep up the good work! |
you wuz great! I came straight home from a coworker's good-bye party so that I could catch the last 30 minutes. |
Dawn: I see from your list that you will be at a debate at the Literary and Historical Society of University College Dublin -- both of which were founded by Cardinal Newman, your employer's namesake. Here is a story I wrote of a debate at the "L and Haitch" -- it will give you some idea of the atmosphere involved. |
Well done, Dawn. LOTR was a great success for you and for Jesus. You spoke very credibly and candidly and I am sure many souls were touched by your willingness to share your story with such a wide audience. I especially liked your reference to dualism. . .Nice! |
Hi Dawn, |
Dawn: |
Just thought I'd mention in case anyone missed Dawn. EWTN offers free podcasts of LOTR. |
Dawn; |
You were nervous! But you had some absolutely great moments! Knocking yourself on the head while you demonstrated "why on earth did I go out with him?" and "God, this chastity thing is so hard!" |
Yes, you were great. A little nervous at first, maybe, as Therese Z says, but clearly relaxing as your commitment to the message sort of took over. Very articulate. It was interesting and amusing to recognize the names of some of the emailers, e.g. John Simmins and Henrietta. |
Being a Protestant, I usually don't get much out of EWTN, but I really enjoyed your interview, Dawn. (The "Friar Cam" was kind of silly, though.) |
you did great!!! |
The Tonight Show it ain't. |
Awesome!! Just caught the show today, great job! |
John J: Words can't express how thankful I am that LOTR "ain't" the Tonight Show. Old people watch that show & young people watch LOTR! |
Hey I've just been watching Life on the Rock - there was a question from Henrietta G Tavish!!!! How funny!!! |
