The Dawn Patrol: Comments

He designed us, after all, and He knows what kind of life will unite us to Him.

Precisely. And I'd love to reach the point of remembering to say and live that at least half of the time (or even more).

After his wedding, Blessed Charles Habsburg turned to his wife and said "now we must help each other get to heaven".

One day, I want to be able to call out Catechism paragraph numbers the way I used to be able to toss off 1960s Hot 100 chart positions.

Oh my - That is the quote of the week. :)

Thank you, John! :^) The article I linked on Monsignor Smith states that he used to follow the Yankees, so perhaps he formerly applied his formidable memory cells to baseball stats.

Hi Dawn: I just finished reading your book. A great read! I found your book through the LifeNews.com.

Your Christian foundation is solid and very interdemoninational (I attend a Baptist church). If only more people understood Christian theology, they would realize that the Apostle Paul's explanation of the church as the Bride and Jesus as the Bridegroom demonstrates a male and female relationship. Any alternatives to this explanation would collapse the analogy and thus disolve the Christian faith. Here's to marriage and the family!

Thanks, Susan -- very happy you liked The Thrill, and that you found its message interdenominational.

One thing that is interesting about John Paul II's Theology of the Body, which inspired my chapter on "The Meaning of Sex," is that its direct inspiration is entirely biblical; its message does not rely upon later Catholic writings. That's why Focus on the Family was able to adapt it (very well, I think) for its Web site pureintimacy.org.

I agree with Mr. Moran.

I am one of those millions.
