And so the days are filled...

Gravatar Congratulations, the hex coat is just lovely! You chose an ambitious project for the KAL. Norah Gaughan designs such cool things.

Gravatar I love this! It is so beautiful. You knit at an entirely higher level than I do and I am very envious.
I've been reading about AUstralian wools. They also seem to be a cut above. Lucky Aussies!
Knit on, ROmelda

Gravatar Wow! It is fabulous! I love it! And I like the light color, that really lets the pattern shine. Amazing job to get that done in such a short time! You are really inspiring me to start on mine, but who knows when that will happen.
It's a fantastic jacket! It looks so warm and cozy. I hope it's still cool enough to wear it for a few months longer!

Gravatar Your Hex Coat is simply stunning, and to have finished it for the KAL is really something. Congratulations!

Gravatar Wow! You did a wonderful job! Thanks again for running the TdFKal!

Gravatar Whoa, that coat is gorgeous! I am amazed that you knit that in three weeks -- without steroids, I assume Well done!!

Gravatar I think Haloscan might have eaten my first comment... in any case, I love your coat!! And I like your double moss stitch better than the ribs.

Maybe this will inspire me to make it too, rather than just coveting it?

Gravatar all i can say is WOW! it's beautiful, and so long...i never would have finished such a big project, and so fast. i'm in awe.

Gravatar You must be thrilled to have the coat done and ends finally woven in -- it looks fantastic! Victory lap indeed!

Congratulations to the winners!

Gravatar I am in awe ... the thought of knitting a knee length garment makes me feel a little faint. i also love that book.
Gorgeous job!!

Gravatar I've been patiently waiting to see how your coat would turn out - it's gorgeous, you are right to be pleased. Like you I think I want to make almost everything from The Knitting Nature Book. Well done on getting the coat finished aswell as keeping up with the TDFKAL blogging - I'm amazed you found the time to do both you must have had some late nights.

Gravatar Congratulations! It looks just lovely.

Gravatar Sheesh - and I couldn't finish one measly pair of socks and look what you pumped out.

Just wonderful Meg - looks great.

Gravatar Your Hex is fabulous! I just bought the book and was immediately drawn to this pattern - so thanks for the tips as well!

Gravatar Wow! It's a beautiful coat -- it looks great on you, and you made it in 22 days (plus a little). WOW! Best of all, it looks like something you'll enjoy and wear with pride for a long time! Congratulations!

exclamation point, exclamation point, I know . . . .

Gravatar Congratulations!!! I am so impressed that you knit something so beautiful on a timeline! That is amazing.

Gravatar Congrats on such a fabulous coat, Meg! And for finishing it so quickly too!

Gravatar It's stunning Meg! Well done! It looks perfect on you too!

Now about Polly's prize...I don't think anyone with FIFTY UFO's should be getting new yarn so to keep Polly honest, I'll take it off her hands

Gravatar Meg, that's gorgeous!!!!! I love that coat so much more now that I've seen another one completed and must have it, even with our summer fast approaching.

I'd actually put it on the back-burner and begun spring/summer knitting, but I'm going to have knit it well and truly before next winter.

Congratulations on finishing it in record time too!

Gravatar What a beautiful job. It looks lovely although hard to imagine wearing something that long and knitted here today when it is so hot and humid. I am trying to remember to savor being warm because all too soon I will be complaining about my cold toes, nose, fingers....

Gravatar lovely coat
and thanks for the prize.
M

Gravatar What a beautiful coat!

Gravatar eeek, meg, that is one fabulous coat! you must be so proud! (and surely slightly insane to knit something KNEELENGHT.)

Gravatar Brilliant work Meg- I can't believe you managed to finish it so quickly! So much knitting!! It looks fantastic.

Gravatar Wow! It's absolutely beautiful! Congratulations.

I was in West Virginia last week -- i tried to snap some good photos at the Gauley Bridge, but it was insanely humid and everything was hazy. But, if I recall from last year, this was how I "met" you in the blogosphere. I've really appreciated your friendship this year! West Virginia says hello!

Gravatar the coat is gorgeous and so nice that wool for it has special memories too. I've been doing the happy dance since I won that drawing. I am feeling so honoured. I actually completed 28 pairs of sock not 56 pairs, so I'm not nearly as scary as you'd thought... and I cherish every pair of socks that i have ever received... you know, I have more received one than ones that I have made myself... almost all of my knitted socks are for my families and friends. thanks for the drawing and for picking me

Gravatar Wow! That coat is fabulous!! Just gorgeous! And what a big project. Congratualtions on getting it finished. I'm still working on my TDF KAL.

Gravatar I love it! I own Knitting Nature and was not as attracted by this particular pattern until now!

Gravatar It's just gorgeous Meg - excellent job.

Gravatar meg, that is absolutely fabulous. it looks sooooo gorgeous!

although i think it is way too warm for such a coat in sydney. so either you need to move down here or the coat needs to be sent to me!

Gravatar Wonderful! You did a great job and it looks so cozy!

Gravatar Love the jacket! Looks great Well done! Not sure I would be patient enough to knit it.

Gravatar Oh brava my friend. Absolutely gorgeous. And so quick! I hope you're very proud.

Gravatar I just received a copy of Knitting Nature for my birthday, and I was very taken with this coat. Your beautiful rendition makes me want to knit it all the more! Love the hexagons, but might not have the fortitude to plow through that much moss stitch without the leavening of other projects and a longer time frame. Kudos to you for your hard work to finish during the Tour! (And thanks again for a great KAL.)

Gravatar Well, now I commented on the competition post, it would be rude to stop now, eh? I have the 'Knitting Nature' book and every time I pick it up, I see *nothing* I want to knit. However, every time someone else knits something from it - I love it! And this coat is *gorgeous*. I may yet have to make one. I don't know what it is about that book; I just have a hard time finding inspiration in it. Must be the styling or something...

Gravatar oh the hex coat is BEAUTIFUL!
