Geez, yesterday's discussion was tiring. I drank two double lattes just reviewing. Will now put on my Birkenstocks (Catfish!) and go to work.
I read DailyKos, as I do every day. That stuff makes it so much harder. Being Democrat does not mean that I am anti-Iraq war. I have good reasons to support it. So hard to keep saying that life is not black or white, red or blue, but a vast sea of gradations of gray, and large central portion of, well, purple (red/blue makes purple??)
And we need both sides. In California we don't have both sides, and it's a bad thing.
Lattes? Double Lattes? Is that anything like coffee?
A latte is kind of like a coffee that has been neutered.

Actually you have it backwards, coffee is a neutered latte. This morning it was double shot espresso, then add the steamed milk to it, but just to lighten it a little. The rest of you are just drinkin' wash water. 
Thanks all for a great discussion. I just got my Starbucks on the way back into town. I never get the tutti-frutti stuff, but I likes my coffee. Reading Julie's comments makes me want to go get another, even though she's just talkin' about that shi-shi-fu-fu stuff. Those women that order all that stuff and slow down the lines (I mean, how many dang 'shots' and other things can you put in there. 1/2 this, 1/2 that, soy ... a spritz o' this and that) have historically irritated me, but I am "moderating" my tone. I'm listening and learning. Pls be patient.
If your're gonna put cream and foam on it...if your gonna sprinkle chocolate and cinnamon on it...just go over to Burger King and order a milkshake.

That's me, high maintenance, don't you forget it. Glad you figured it out. As for holding up the line, if you got up earlier you wouldn't have to sit behind me 
I actually figured you for a caffeinated sort, Nickie. Gives you a nice edge.

Speaking as a coffee Nazi, I do have to say that most, if not close to all, Americans wouldn't know good coffee if it ran up and bit them on the rear. Which my coffee will do, if you don't watch it closely.
Kenyan AA, black, 4 cup coffee maker, 1/8lb of beans, freshly ground. One cup will keep you up all day.
And I didn't miss. PW must be tougher than we thought. It was clean hit.
Sheesh. Trying to ruin my good reputation already. If I shoot at it, I hit it.

Sounds like really good coffee and you've got it down to a system that always works. Problem with getting coffee while I race to work is that sometimes its great and sometimes it's wash water. Yeah, and I think that guy behind me in line this morning, the one tapping his fingers on the steering wheel, was Daisy. Sorry DC.
