Jeez, DC... When Rhod sees this he's gonna tear his long red hair out. How's about a little cultural sensitivity? If I recall a recent post correctly, he revealed that his family was haunted by a long procession of circus clowns and carnival workers.
Y'all had better be prepared for a size 42 shoe up your backside.
Besides, everybody knows that the highlight of the 2008 election will be when Hagle, Durbin and McCain come to your town and pour out of the tiny campaign bus. Clowns all.

They might keep the Appeasement Express moving right along if they come through here.

Nickie:
That's not Hagel, that's my Uncle Dudley. Be careful...all it takes from me is a holler of "Hey Rube!" and you'll be buried in an ocean of parachute pants, striped vests, greasepaint gobs and bulb horns, stuffed into a little Austin with a tennis ball on your nose, teardrops painted on your cheeks, and sent off to run the coin toss.

Rhod,
Couldn't resist a clown dig. But ... they do have their purposes, i.e., scaring little children and the Senate.

If you prick me, do I not bleed? But I like the part about scaring little children and the Senate. The Senate is a sandbox, in its own way. What would you give to seltzer-spray or pieface the entire lot of them?

...furthermore, think of Joe Pesci in "Wise Guys" with his rage at being called "funny"..."you think I'm funny??? Like a clown??" Scary.

DC,
GREAT! Thanks for posting that. I wish I could plaster that picture all over Nebraska...I'm pretty sure quite a few people are growing to dislike him as much as we do.
