By your use of past tense, I guess he wasn't around when you joined. I bet there wasn't anyone more proud of your decision than he.

Gravatar Actually, Murf, he is still around. Note: I said "he still does love the Corps."

I gave him a call last night and wished him a Happy B-Day and thanked him again for the inspiration.

Gravatar Ah. The 'I recalled my uncle' was a bit confusing.

Gravatar While your tenses are a bit confusing, kudos on the comma placements though.

Gravatar Thanks, Murf. One of my great writing sins is the over/misuage of ellipses. It's a resolution for 06. Just getting lazy.

Okay ... I am off now for the weekend. No computer. Carry on, though.

Gravatar Hand Salute and a big thank you!

Happy Veterans Day!

Gravatar Thank you for your service and a belated Happy 230!

Gravatar Thank you and your uncle for your service.

Gravatar Cathy, Linda, and Seawitch,

Thanks for the kind words.

You know, though, I am so blessed. Every day I wore the uniform was a privilege and an honor.
