Gravatar IN reference to the "cartoon Outrage", I am almost convinced it has been choreographed by the Iranians.

One, it has happened 5 months ago when the cartoons came out. It was Denmark who is the solely responsible for their content, but at that point it was not important, this was in september.

Two, the Iranian Nuke program is being referred to the Security council of the UN for possible sanctions. Now this little bit of news I heard today. The Danes will be the 'Chair' of the Sercurity Council this time around.

Three, most of these riots are aimed at the Danish, and the riots are sponsored primarily by Hezbolah, an Iranian supported terrorist group.

Does anyone else see a connections here ?

Gravatar Mark:

There's certainly a connection, and it also has something to do with testing the EU and The West in general. Not surprisingly, the American MSM and some European outlets have scampered from the issue like the drooling, frightened running dogs they are.

The reaction in The West will also hyper-inflate the swollen self-confidence our enemies have in themselves. If it comes from a sense of weakness, it's still dangerous. The Dervishes are whirling, and toking the hashish that adds up to their version of Dutch Courage.

This is a terrible situation. Lifson's column is educational; we know from him why radical Islam can never adapt to the late Judaeo-Christian modern world, mainly because of its fanatical man-worship. There is, of course, Bill Clinton for the Donks, but that's only a weak reflection of Islamism.

Our enemies seem to be also very smart or very lucky. The cartoon mania is only the tip of their PR iceberg, or it just fits in very well with their other goals.

Ahamdinejad's catamite, Bashar Assad, is in trouble with the UN, but it's taking the pressure off him AND Iran, as well as messing with us in Iraq. Events might be pushing us beyond the entire Iraq policy into chaos in the region. I'm worried.

Gravatar Rhod--I know what you are saying. I dont see ahmadineJad( what the hell kind of name is that anyway) I don't see him making any concessions, especially now that it seems that the soviets are apparently on his side, of course the American Left are right next to the soviets linked arm in arm.
Perhaps this is why the Donks are so insistant that we start pulling out troops out, hell at this point I would double the number, and if push comes to shove then have the 4th ID make a right turn.

Our foreign policy must be one of consistancy and determination, we can't go on with the UN and its paper sanctions for ever, the next president may not have the stomach for punching Iran in the mouth as W. does.

From what I have seen of the map of Iran it is rich in targets, and they are already thinking of Air strikes.

Iran seems to be the only defiant one left, if we play our cards right and hit Iran and good that will be the end of it. But if we play appeasement games with them they will blackmail the west for years to come, and that screwball incharge over there will play along and lie to the UN and this will go on until he does get a flyable nuke and try to take out Israel then it will start for real. So as far as i can see pre-emtion is the only way to go. Take out the nut-case while we can with conventional otherwise there will be a real halocaust and it will be the whole middle-east.

Gravatar Mark & Rhod,

As I have stated ... I think short-term it is going to be bumpy. Long-term, we have a chance to do good things.

If the Demos get control of a branch of the govt, though, then watch out.

I really don't think our enemies are that smart. Just evil. And committed. Plus, they have a large supply of useful idiots here to help.

But, long-term I remain optimistic. Why? Ultimately, a lot of it stems from my faith in God. Also, I still have a lot of confidence in the focused American spirit.

Unfortunately, I think/fear that another horrible deed in the name in Islam may very well be required to unleash that focused American wrath.

Gravatar Really quite a find, DC, thanks. I was led here via Kit and Heidi.

Gravatar DC:

With your permission, need to use this post as a leap to www.mudvillegazette.com, where one can read a letter from the mayor of Tall'Afar to members of the 3rd Armored Cav and their families. Astounding.

It contrasts with the remarks of the mad Sheikh Al-Gore. His nose appears to be under the robes of his Arab masters once again.

Gravatar Rhod,

You never need to ask permission. I will go take a look. And ... every one else should, too.

Gravatar Wow. Here it is.

Thanks for that, Rhod. Work has taken me away the last couple of days, but you found the best jewel out there.

God bless the 3rd Armored Cav.

And ... how about Mayor Najim Abdullah Abid Al-Jibouri? I think I'd vote for the guy for mayor.

It's stories like that one that give one hope.

And it all emanates from the fighting American spirit.

Gravatar Maybe I'll forward a copy to that squealing, monkey-faced, camera bitch David Gregory. It'll give him an idea of what a real man is, both the Cav guys and the mayor.

Gregory's idea of manhood is to squawk like a plucked bluejay at Scott McClellan. Brave guy.

Gravatar ...in other news, Israel is doing naval exercises with NATO, and conferring on the interruption of nuke materials, etc. to lots of bad guys... the WSJ has reported, raising speculation that Israel might be admitted to NATO.

Back to you DC...and yes, David Gregory is reported to be still a grovelling, chattering, feeble-minded shill for CBS, or NBC, whichever news toilet he uses for laps.

Gravatar These lefites just don't get it. The idea that they were 'scooped' by a Corpus Christi newspaper is laughable, if they weren't so sorry it would be too funny. David Gregory is all of the complete ass he appears to be.

Anyone remember Erik Burden

Gravatar Mark:

Wasn't Eric the lead singer of The Animals? Or was he in "Rawhide"? The guy in Rawhide drowned in Mexico.

Gravatar Rhod

Yup, the Animals I was thinking primarily of the tune he made 'Sky Pilot'.

Gravatar Lots of bagpipes and guns. Good song. We had a Sky Pilot who dropped by now and then. Good guy.

Gravatar Mark, this is a little like the time we talked back and forth over at Cranky Neocon. Cranky told us to turn the lights off when we were done and just go home.

Thanks for the conference room, DC.

Gravatar No problem, Rhod. I'll make you another pot of coffee before I head home.

Gravatar Rhod

Yeah, he wasn't too happy with us. Ohh well LOL

But cranky didn't have the great background DC does. After all DC is one of us. Not as old of course but still the same he is on our side.

It is amazing how a song or part of one will bring memories flooding back, that site is great (songs 60's and 70's). They can put you into a funk and then find one that gets ya back up. Like the time I got sent out to as an FO, always had trouble reading those damn maps so someone always went along who could read one.

There was a thing on the History channel about Khe Sanh, 68' guess it sunk in, again... because surprized what comes back. some nasty stuff that was.

Gravatar Rhod

I noticed the Army has a unique way of putting letters together as abbreviations for units, i.e., ACR, 3rd ID etc, as I've said before understanding their command structure is confusing but they have a neat way of doing it.

DC

If I were president, I would sent a couple of re-enforced rifle companies to the Nuevo Loredo and clean that mess up pronto.

Gravatar Mark:

One of the many mysteries and riddles wrapped in enigmas, tucked into black boxes and buried in cement. Kind of like General Westmoreland's strategy for winning the Vietnam War.

Oh, to have been a Marine, but you only get one chance in life.

Gravatar "squealing, monkey-faced, camera bitch David Gregory"

he he.
