If you go to their website,( aint hard to find , even I found it) you will find all kinds of good stuff. These people are radicals, leftists and support the democrat party. They refuse to admit that their asses were saved by the Military rather, they said they were freed.
One of their followers, of this left wing cult-group, was found dead, not that the jihadi's killed him just that he was 'found dead' almost of natural caused.
The bottom line is these assholes are giving aid and comfort to the enemy, just like the F'n quakers did in Vietnam, and would take no responsiblity for their actions.
Since I am a vengencefull SoB, I hope they get theirs.

The CPT claims to be in the Quaker, Mennoite tradition, in the same way the Pharisees painted their faces in order to appear depressed and burdened with the weight of the world.
Three thoughts:
First, wherever you find these little sado-masochists, you find liberation theology. Along with it comes the standard laundry list of phrases that include "injustice", "peace", "racism" and the vocabulary of the lying authoritarian, the neighborhood Marxist. These are not good people, and appropriating Christianity in order to realize the nasty, coercive world of their sweaty fantasies is repulsive.
Second, judging them in terms of honesty, consistency and the requirements of a true heart is futile; it only makes you nuts. These are the same people who loaded the trains to the camps while reading from some lunatic mystical screed on the perfect world. The reversal of good and evil puts the six in six-sixty-six, whether you believe in the devil or not. Ask me, they should have had their heads sawed off; then they could argue their position with their Master.
Three, remember that even Hollywood used to recognize and lampoon the type. No sci-fi movie was complete without some nattering, even-tempered scientist who wanted to make love to the aliens/monsters, getting a good guy killed in the process and ending up vaporized, disemboweled or set on fire himself. Remember how everyone cheered?

...on the subject of religion and the Left. Just read in interview with Mark Steyn at Power Line. The subject was The Left's claim that Saddam Hussein was a secularist and wouldn't have made alliances with Al Qaeda of fundamentalists of any kind.
Steyn points out that The Left, secularists themselves, have allied themselves unofficially with Al Qaeda and our fundamentalist enemies...to which can be added the the secularist Left has worked its way into Christianity through the CPT. The Left is a mutatable parasite capable of anything.

When people like this tie Christian to their name and then spout off as they did, it drags us all down. One might think that they use the term (albeit loosely) just to provoke the jihadis into kidnappings like this, as in "Hey, we got a Christian." When all they really got was a liberal. Then, the world and especially the MSM wait breathlessly for the execution so they can go off on how the war is so wrong and innocents are dying for no good cause.
As you said, innocents were dying for no good cause before the war. It was just that no one knew it and they were just innocent Iraqis who were defying their sadistic dictator.
But, then, that does not make for good news here in the states.

khix:
My guess is that the kidnapping was arranged, and the delay in killing these three had much to do with their propaganda value. They were negotiating with their "kidnappers"
Fox was killed probably because he was a former Marine, even though he was a CO.
I put nothing past these kinds of people...their jihadis in their own way.

For me ... reading the commentary here is as fun as anything. Great comments, all. Mark, I think you are just more honest than most of us.
KHix ... That is a scream: "They thought they were getting a Christian and all they got was a liberal." Kinda like opening up a present all excited on Christmas a.m. as a kid and finding that it's only package of tighty-whities.
What a hoot, man.
Rhod, you're right. The Left will ally with any one/thing that will fight America and the West. That is such garbage re: the secular angle on Saddam.
They need to sell that stuff in the universities or something.

What else can you call it. In Vietnam, the quakers even stole medical supplies and food to give to the VC, and yet would not stop it, because we were accused of being the aggressor. If I remember right we were invited there to help a country fight for its independance, but we were the bad guys.
Again these self righteous SoBs accuse the United States of being the aggressors. They said nothing about all the people these Bast$#ds have beheaded, and some of these leftists shirkers call the jihadis Freedom fighters.
These are the worst kind of leftists, they use the power of the pulpit to further their Stalinist agenda, and call it religion.

"Swords of Righteousness Brigade" eh ?
A very short brigade. Maybe a Squad (-).
But the "swords" part is worth a haha or four -- lets us into their 13th Century minds. I'm kind of thinking about that scene in one of the Indiana Jones movies where the clown brings the sword to the gunfight. You can tell these guys have their minds in the same place.
Hopefully, all the "Swords of Righteousness" meet some 5.56 mm ball righteousness ASAP.

Mark,
Did not know that re: the Quakers. Bad stuff. I guess it's right to call them "quakers", given their bravery, huh?
Big Boss,
The Indiana Jones scene is apropo. I guess if you have an imaginary "sword", you can bring that to a "fight" with a pacifist.

Don't know if it's true, but I heard they are actually of the Christian "Wiccan" aka witches variety. Wasn't the head of the Anglican church a Wiccan? At any rate nobody that stupid could be an actual Christian.

Eye of Newt, Toe of Dog, Tongue of Liberal...don't know if they're Wiccans, Eyesallaround, but it's worth a "look".
Akira raises the subject of peaceniks. There's an interesting tribute at Four Right Wing Wackos blog about Desmond T. Doss, the pacifist Medal of Honor Winner. He was a 7th Day Adventist...go read it, it's good.

As an aside, I took link at Polipundit to The Baltimore Sun, which noted that 25% of Naval Academy graduates this year have chosen to join the Marine Corps.
The percentage has been rising steadily since the Iraq War, but reached a new high this year. Semper Fi.

I Checked out Desmond t. Ross not unlike sargent York, Doss was a conscientious objector, He didn't refuse to serve his country he wanted to do that, and told his CO that, he just refused to kill. He even refused a discharge with less than honorable conditions because he did want to serve.
The CTB or whatever they are, are just leftist demos who main purpose is to disrupt and generally cause discontent in the ranks, and oppose the war effort.
Desmond Doss is credited with saving 100 of his own men as a company medic. of the 77th division on Okinawa, his second campaign.
These left-wing christian or whoever the hell they are couldn't hold Corparal Doss's 'skivvies', let alone fill his shoes.

..to add one thing to Mark's account of Doss's heroism...while under fire, he spent twelve hours collecting wounded soldiers (75 of them), and lowered them each over a 400-foot escarpment to safety. Greater love hath no man..as the scripture goes.
What I'm about to say has no scriptural reference, but I heard it from a person I respected in VN, and it will rankle the unbeliever and the cynic. He said "God hates a coward". I'll let others sort out what, if anything, God hates, but I think the idea deserves a look.

Rhod,
Interesting commment re: the rising #s taking the Marine option at Annapolis. That's interesting, and it is another reason to stay upbeat. Those midshipmen know full well what they are doing.
Re: cowardice, you raise an interesting point. For one with authentic faith, there really is nothing to fear.

I missed that comment, 25 % eh,.. Must be the uniform, or maybe the best Mascot, Marine Corps has a bulldog, the Navy has a goat. Best haircut, never have a bad hair day with 'high and tite'.
But the real kicker, is who is going to drive the ships.
But it also reminds me of a song:
with apologies to DC..
" The officers they give us, stand up to the worst,
You find them every weekend shacked up with a Nurse,...
O I don't want no more of the US Marines gee but I wanna go right back to quantico gee but I wanna go home."
And with that I will say good night, say goodnight Gracie... Good night. Gracie.
