Gravatar I agree with you DC, they are cowards. Can you imagine if they had to do battle and not use IED's and suicide bombers etc.
There will never be men like you and others that have served our country existing in the Islamists attacking machine of hate.

Gravatar WT,

Though they hate us, they are afraid of us.

Remember, too, that the United 93 counter-attack was planned and executed by civilians.

It foretold the very bad things that were heading the jihadis' way.

Gravatar First political commentary that ranks among the best in the blogsphere as well as the normal "fair and balanced" networks, now movie reviews that would make Roper & Ebert proud. DC, your multi-faceted writing skills are truly inspiring.

Gravatar Thanks, KHix ...

This movie is a little different, obviously. I don't know much about film, but I do know a good story. The story of the heroism of United 93 needs to be told again and again.

Gravatar I've been mulling over the battle of Flight 93, at the same time the Connecticut High School Athletic Assocation (or something like that) has ruled that coaches will be suspended if they allow games of any kind to proceed with one team ahead by more than 50 points.

Yes, the winning coach essentially needs to throw a game to conform to the insipid standards dictated by the enfeebled leftists at the rotten center of the Connecticut school system. Is there a musty star-chamber somewhere where these timorous cretins meet to avenge themselves on people they hate for the silent rebuke of being simply brave, bold and better?

What must they think of the passengers of Flight 93, and do they have the capacity to imagine themselves so brave and resolute? I don't think so, and these space-occupiers are of the kind standing between us and our enemies today. The cheap levelling swindlers, the temporizing cowards obstructing the playing field and the field of battle between Islamism and America.

The battle of Flight 93 - it was a battle and not an incident - pushed past all this and defined the possbilities of resistance that no enemy can ignore. How many future hijackers have considered it. Those passengers are my final standard, and if I doubt I would have had their fortitude, I live on their land now because they cleared the trail. I can never repay them for that.

Gravatar That's a great comment, Rhod. You are so right how such heroism just blows away so much of the nonsense we are told about the world ... and the power of that heroism rushes up a playing field that has been tilted in favor of the enemies of America.

They cleared the trail, and we live on their land. You are so right.

And I'll tell you what. Other Americans would do the same. That's what's so beautiful. Not to minimize their actions or sacrifice at all. But that's the heart of the nation.

Gravatar Hey DC, I am glad that you wanted to see the movie. For myself, I can not see it. I remember where I was on 9/11/01. I was at work but in a state of shock that this could happen here. I bought one of the dvds of the trade towers being hit and collapsing. I watched it exactly twice and can not bring myself to view it again. It brings up a rage in me that makes me no joy to be around. Thinking about what those brave passengers did... one of the most brave, patriotic acts done over US soil. But I still can not bring myself to relive it by watching the movie. I am a Vietnam vet and I can not fathom how our leadership has deteriorated to the point that we have non-existant borders that any terrorist can walk across. I wonder what I spent 4 years in the military for.
