I don't know that I will ever quite be able to watch this film as my memory of that day and what the actions following it are still strong.
Emotionally I don't think my psyche could take it.

Bland,
Once the movie started, I found my pulse going up. I understand where you are coming from, but I still think it's worth it.
It's good to be reminded.

Interesting, Bland says he could not watch it because his psyche couldn't take it. This is a common thread, and completely understandable. But if faced with this situation you would be surprized what people can do, especially Americans.
What the movie does is put the viewer in the seat next to one of the passengers, once the plane is airborne, you are there and can't leave.
To me this is movie IS the American spirit, it takes Americans awhile to get involved but once they do look out. I think through out our history people have come up to this level and performed tasks that people not there have a hard time understanding.
Against all odds, we have for 230 years prevailed and this is the reason why.
Like Dan Daily said, at Belleu Wood, during the Argonne-Meusse offensice WW 1,'C'mon you sons of bitches, you wanna live forever', I don't know how or why but we produce the right people for the right point in time.
And that is why the Jihadi's will not defeat us, we are who we are.

We better be careful, we might violate the Separation of Church and Blog provisions of the Constitution.
This is right near the provisions prohibiting searches of congressional offices.
