All the left heard was Hope and Change, hope and change. Obama was talking Socialism, while his supporters were seeing a free lunch.
Well here's a Newsflash...there's no free lunch. We are now so far in debt my great grand children will be paying for this social experiment.
What makes obama think he can run a automobile company. A few years back the IRS took possession of the Mustang Ranch, I believe Nevada, They couldn't make a profit selling prostitution and booze, what makes them think they can run a car company. A car Czar ? The man knows nothing about cars, yet he's a Czar in charge of GM and Chrysler, this is unbelievably stupid. But we don't have just one Czar we have 21, since 1600 Russia had only 22 we got 21 in 5 months. The problem these 21 Czars are responsible to nobody, except obama. So much for the Constitution.
This whole debacle is nothing but a power grab by obama. So why is the left so dour, this is even more than they expected. The hard core left, the Daily Kos, CPUSA are just thrilled about the direction obama is taking the country, which by the way is straight down the drain.
Pretty soon obama will just tell congress what he wants and they will bend over backwards to give it to him. But with obama there are no favorites, just flunkies, useful idiots soon the State run Media will wake up and find they have no First Amendment and are indeed run by the Government.

Rush was right again. Everybody is beginning to see that if Obama succeeds the country loses. First thing Newt said was He hoped Obama succeeds, Huckleberry, said, with out mentioning any names, " Oh gee, I hope obama succeeds". Huckleberry, is no conservative a moderate at best.
By the time the Election rolls around again, We had better have a good solid conservative Candidate. Otherwise we will lose again. Right Now the only real conservative is Sarah Palin. That is why the left goes nuts with anything she does, she's under a microscope, she can't make a move without them trying to destroy her.
The Republicans have to be true to our base otherwise it will be a Watered down version of the democrat party. The people always vote for the original not an immitation.
McCain should have proved to everyone that the Republicans Can Not run a moderate candidate posing as a conservative. We lost this election because of John McCain, and his not realizing that Barry O's was/is the enemy. He is the enemy of this country, our way of life and the U.S. Constitution.
The Republicans have got to be PRO-LIFE otherwise there will be no difference. If we start pulling out supporting planks in our platform soon the whole stage will crumble and fall to the ground. The George C. Wallace will be right, "not a dimes worth of difference between the democrats and the Republicans." It is imperative that we offer a difference, than just another RINO, or a sham democrat.

But my ticket would be Sarah Palin and Karna Small Bodman. I think that would be a winning ticket. Karna Bodman worked in the Reagan Administration for 6 years in National Security and the State department. She's a super conservative. And very Pro-life.

The American People are not going to wake up until something huge happens. Another castastropic attack, or some huge violation of our Freedoms, then maybe America will wake up.
But I am afraid even that won't do it. It will take something like this bogus Cap and Trade Energy Bill to pass and everyone is paying for energy at 150-200 % what they are paying now. These pie in the sky, energy solutions, the Magic battery, Wind power, Solar power, will not work. In typical democrat fashion, they believe in the 'free lunch' that if you are really good, something good will happen. Energy doesn't work that way. The law of conservation of Energy says very clearly, ' You don't get something for nohting',Power in equals Power out + Losses. Perhaps, 35% unemployment rate will wake people up., because that's where we are heading. This idea of making electricity and selling it back to the electric company is bogus too. What are they going to do with it, if they store it, it has to be converted to DC in order to store it, also if you have Solar panels, that too is DC and has to be converted to AC so you can use it. This alternative energy is costly and not very efficient. Also in the process of inverting and reconverting between AC-DC-AC screws up the Sine wave, Motors don't like that and have a tendency to burn up with choppy AC signals i.e., Washers, dryers, refrigerators thats just residential. The big problem will be trying to power a factory that uses large amounts of power with huge lagging power factors, thiw alternative power is a no go when it comes to that. And you know what, all this talk about new energy Taxes and Alternative power...is unnecessary there is no need for it. The American People are going to be put through hell because of the whims of a few communists like obama.

If the democrats were serious about the United States being energy independant they would consider all options. Solar, Wind, Geothermal and Nuclear. But by considering Nuclear this would mean a solution to the problem(that is assuming there is a climate problem) but solutions are not what the democrats are about. They are about control not of energy but of our lives and regulating and taxing us to death. Their POWER.
Nuclear Power is the future, Solar, Wind and all these cockamayme alternatives are pie in the sky solutions, that will never happen, they are folly and a waste of taxpayer money.
During the campaign McCain was into this too, his idea of a 'Super battery', the Magic Battery that goes on forever. It doesn't exist, won't exist because it defies the basic law of Conservation of Energy i.e., Power in equals Power out + Losses, Power in = Power out there are no freebies there. Once used it has to be resupplied, recharged and in the case of a battery you will get a little less output than the first time and so on until the battery is useless.
There is no need for this kind of alternative energy, we already have the technology for Nuclear Plants to supply all the power and energy we need.

This is enough energy to power a 100 watt bulb for 28,519,279 years, that's 28 Million years. That is more than 2.8 times the energy produced by the Sun in a year. This is the solution.
The democrats on the other hand will not go for this. The Summary of the Republican proposal is sound, valid and makes sense and the technology is readily available. All we need is a congress that has a spine to use it and to think about the country first for a change instead of their own power.

Rhod-I was reading today, what to do if a Dirty Bomb was to go off, by Terrorists of course. I would assume a large city where the most dramatic effect would be achieved, I was thinking if that happened, there would be an armed revolution. This White House has left us vulnerable in so many ways. Recently, this genius is sending 1500 National Guard volunteers to the border, without pay and unarmed. That is suicide. Even the minute men on the borders have side arms, they'd be bailing out the guard.
None of this makes any sense. All the legislation passed already you'd think they'd get something right but no it is all anti-American.

If we ever get control back. The first order of business should be to repeal the 17th amendment. This was the first step down the wrong path passed in 1913 by progressives. The country had worked fine up until that point. This would put control of electing Senators back into the hands of the people of their respective states, instead of corrupt lobbying organizations.
The founders knew what they were doing but I wonder if they even forsaw something like this power grab.

Nickie, My thoughts on this are: Obama has cut the Military Budget, He's closing Gitmo, He wants to bring captured Terrorists to this country for trial and guarantee them rights they don't deserve, He has sent Millions of dollars to Hamas, He is importing Hamas if they want to come here, He is trying to dislodge from Iraq as quickly as he can, He's trying to appease Iran, He has alienated Israel, He has spent us into a hole, and he is still digging. The democrats want to release photos of the troops supposedly "Torturing" prisoners, He has appointed Radical Leftist to important Government post, The Korean Koh is a believer in Transnationalism, where our Constitution is secondary to the laws of the world. He is attempting to give up our sovereignty as a nation. Also, he is trying to appease North Korea and the Chinese. The Chinese almost own this country, we are so heavy in debt to the Chinese, if they call in their marker, we are in deep weeds. The Fed has already once monetized the debt, i.e., they are printing money that is virtually worthless, or at least half the value of that in circulation. The borders are no more secure than they were 8 years ago. Obama and company are blaming the United States for all the drug cartels and the killing along the border. I probably missed a bunch of things but this has all been done in 5 months.
The American People are beginning to see this more and more everyday.
If there is an attack, it will spark the American Spirit/Anger like you have never seen it before. This will incite some type of revolution, probalbly calling for obama to resign at first. If the attack is bad enough, there will be hell to pay.
This is why I believe if there is another attack Obama is done. One way or the other.
What worries me the most is, for now, an unknown, but a possiblity.

Reason and dialogue of the political kind that Obama (and all liberals) bleats about in regard to Iran and the ME in general is one form of it - the avoidance of reality kind - while the everyday kind states that, since there's so much of everything, nothing is worth fighting about, and for.
There's so much of everything - material, spiritual; freedom - precisely because of struggle and strife. Everything gained has a price, nothing except evil is self-generating, but what I see here in the northeast is a deadening smugness toward anyone with the guts to fight for the future of this country.
It's simply too low class to flex a muscle anywhere but in a gym or a beach. We're a happy, healthy, beautiful and cluelss herd of rabbits.
