Well, I am really down until next summer, but ... I wanted to "report" on Obama's first pitch. My best to the Texicans.
I popped in here to see if you have the need for any comment support. I really enjoy seeing you around. Patriotism is important. And you guys (Nickie's group) season it with humor, which makes the message attractive even to those who may not care for it at first. And that is how to win others to your side. They have to hear you first. I'm not sure I have those skills, but I love to giggle as I read along. Sometimes I laugh so loudly my kids demand to know what I'm doing. How could I explain about Nickie's "truss"? Well, at least that son is 18. {blush}

I check back here every now and then ... sometimes when I am up too late at night. No need to comment these days. This here blog is dormant until next June ... too much going on & etc. One of these days I will be able to write more. It's been a passion for a long time. Still, I've got an 18-year-old son, too, and a few others ... and life, etc.
I have really enjoyed getting to know you over at Nick's place and at yours, as well. You fit right in, and are one of the regular crew now. You are a good sport. It's fun. Always remember the importance of your voice.
I appreciate your comment about humor. There is a lot of wisdom there. I read a book recently that really challenged my thinking in how/why people hear us. There really is a balance to presenting things and being winsome while still true. Nick is fantastic at it. The chemistry of it all at his blog ... with different folks chiming in ... makes it work well, too. It's raucous and fun. I feel at home over there.
I do a lot of thinking about persuasion, what works and what doesn't. I want America and her friends to win. Been learning a lot more lately on that score and figuring out (I hope) how to do it better going forward.
