A friend of mine who manages a fine wine shop in Southfield and I ran a group tasting for a charity event in Detroit. About half the crowd was genuinely interested in the AWESOME line-up of beers we'd assembled and the rather unique approach we took to exploring them.

The other half was clearly just there to get shitfaced and would not shut the hell up while we were talking. It got pretty bad.

I don't understand how anyone could go to a tasting with some of the beers we had -- Adnams SSB, Christoffel Blond, Mahr's Hell, Kapuziner Weisse, Thiriez Blond, La Choulette Ambree, etc -- and not find SOMETHING worth drinking or paying attention to.

We clearly had an audience of "buzzards," likely from Wayne State.
