I've met the guy who's more or less running the show at this place. The Grizzly Peak guy also owns, I believe, Vinoteca in Royal Oak, the establishment on which this place will be based. They will have at least some beer, I'm told, and the wine list will be pretty huge. Some huge number of decent wines available by the glass and then a few hundred more available by the bottle.
I haven't been to the place in Royal Oak yet, so I can't say how good or bad it'll be.

Now that I read the links you posted, it seems that almost all of this was covered in the newspaper. I, of course, just learned all of this on Friday over dinner with some distributor sales reps and the manager of some of these places.
Anyhow, I more or less agree with your point #3: I'd still rather drink beer.

Just remember, Dave, Thunderbird was supposedly the drink of choice for Jack Kerouac in his last days (that factoid seems to answer itself, there).

Though I'm curious to check out Vinology someday, a "wine bar" sounds like a place where I'll need to get "dressed up." Therefore, I probably "won't go," and will end up getting hammered at Ashley's or Leopold Bros. instead.
