Good post. I doubt the American people will ever learn. To invite a despicable dictator and give him free reign to spount his crap was unbelievably stupid. It did nothing but bite us in the ass. In the name of free speech we give rights to people that do not deserve it. What's ironic is that we criticize Imus, Rush, Ann, etc for speaking their minds, when they have 100 times more right than this monster. Sometimes I think foreigners and Muslims in general can do no wrong in our liberals eyes. Must be that plank in them!
Ok, I'll try to be serious here. The issue is deadly serious.
I do not actually think that letting him speak in the US has done anyone any harm:
1. The more he says the more obvious it is just how crazy and dangerous the man is. There will always be a few nutters on the left in whose eyes he will do no wrong, but I am talking about normal people.
2. He made himself look ridiculous back home. Iranian students demonstrated to protest his claims of Iranian "freedom of speech". They couldn't figure out how come he invites Bush as a publicity stunt, but puts Iranian students in prison for talking.
In my view a mistake was made when he wasn't arrested and was in fact allowed to go back to Iran. Wasn't he the terrorist that held Americans hostage? Shouldn't that kind of act be punishable?

DD, We all know where our Educational institutions teachers and professors are today, Mostly, They are far left liberals whether they are grade, middle, high schools or institutions of Higher learning, colleges/universities. They have infiltrated our entire learning establishments. My grandaughter was given a listing of books, recently by one of her professors. Books that you should allow in your classrooms. She is majoring in childhood education/music. Las year she wrote an essay and used the words "A Christmas Parade". She lost points because she didn't say a holiday parade... So,,,,we say Columbia shouldn't have invited this murderer ot speak, so we will know what he is thinking and open a dialog...PLEASE!!The establishment is too far left to know what harm they are doing, giving this terrorist a world platform...And my countrymen are dying at hands of his underlings......I ramble...stay well......
