Gravatar That was a very powerful and potent blog DD2 and very true.

And let us not forget that the winner of the McCain-Obama showdown may have the task of replacing two or three justices of the U.S. Supreme Court.
Something more to think about.
As you said this is for all the marbles.
God Bless.

Gravatar I think that you said it all when you said
"If Hollywood is for Obama, Who’s side do you want to be on"

(or something like that)
Great bog DD.

Gravatar I think that the people especially the conservatives that are pulling for a 3rd party candidate should be installed in the 'dumb hall of fame"
I don't know if there already is one, But if not, I think there should be a book called why dumb people do dumb things.

Gravatar Some people just like to bitch and complain.

We are going to be in deep shit if Obambi gets in... You can say what you want about him, and call him whatever you want to, but I going to vote FOR McCain, you can count on that.

Gravatar How ironic that John McCain is despised by the far left AND the far right. Maybe that's a good thing.

Gravatar Like him or not, the Republicans knew what they were doing when they nominated John McCain. McCain will be the toughest Republican to beat.
Much tougher than a Fred Thompson or a Mitt Romney or any of the others for that fact.

Gravatar Why I will vote for John Mccain!
Besides the fact that he's a National hero POW
- He Works with both sides of the aisle
- Conservative socially IE: Pro-life, pro-gun etc.
- Strong on National security.
- Experienced by far more then the others
- Wants to build the fence that he originally did not agree with because the people asked for it.
- Wants to keep the Bush tax cuts
- Wants to end "pork barrel" spending
- Wants to reduce entitlements (government give-aways)
- Is probably the best representative of what main stream America wants.
- Will responsibly end the war in Iraq. He is committed to staying so that there is not a civil war like the one in Darfur.
- He is for affordable health care, not Socialized medicine

He is not my first choice, but a far cry better then what I feel the Democrats stand for.
He should be the choice for America for both ideological and pragmatic reasons. The man is socially conservative, but a freethinker as well--he has called the Federal Marriage Amendment an un-Republican encroachment on state's rights, for example. He has also shown a remarkable willingness to back down from his mistakes and do the right thing. The single event that crystallizes John McCain's appeal as a candidate, for me, is his position on the Confederate flag in South Carolina. He initially supported it eight years ago--but then criticized himself harshly for doing so, calling it a "sacrifice of principle for personal ambition." His renewed opposition to the Confederate flag, a hot issue at the time, may have cost him the 2000 South Carolina primary and given George W. Bush the nomination. So did he back down on it this year, as his campaign depended on those same Republican voters for support? No, he said he "could not be more proud of the majority" of South Carolina residents who had decided to scrap the old Confederate design--and he won the primary anyway.
So I don't think I need to worry about John McCain signing some obscene piece of legislation just to make his party supporters happy.
He has also reached across the aisle many times in the past for the common good, something George W. Bush promised to do during his presidency
AND he is a much better choice than Barack Obama.

Gravatar Let's see: wants to "change" the Presidential Seal; wants to "change" American diplomacy with enemy nations; wants to "change" America from a free-market system of capitalism to a socialist state where the Gov. initiates programme after programme; wants to change the Military into a glorified police force......for starters.

Thank You for the great post, DD.

Gravatar I wonder if Obama know's Denaro just built a luxury hotel in of all places ISRAEL!

Ha!

That ought to chap his hide.

Gravatar DD2 - when you get a chance..check out what I put up on my blog. After what I read..I'm getting closer to voting for McCain to keep this guy out. I probably just need a little more of a push..but..as long as this stuff about his past starts coming out more and more and just how scary this guy is...I'm almost in a full tilt at this point.

Gravatar Loon: I Thank YOU!

Marie: Don't give Bambi that much credit

BoBo: I'll check it out, but if you need that push.............here it is!

Gravatar Good work on this post DD.
I can't agree with you more.

Gravatar You're right DD2 but a bit aggressive with the language. I think the majority of the far right will come to their senses IF they don't get alienated too bad.

BoBo, you haven't seen anything yet! There's so many skeletons in Osama's closet just waiting to read their ugly heads!

Joe
