Gravatar Great blog DD2, Bruce Springsteen is a tool of the left. He also tried to get John Kerry elected. But as we know his attempt was fruitless. ..... Springsteen is the useful idiot of the left.
Yes, I agree that George Bush is a very under-rated President

Gravatar You have made some very good points in this blog DD2. The whole thing is so depressing.

Gravatar President Bush has endured more Hatred from the Leftist Marxist Democrats and has only become stronger because of it. That fact will drive the DemocRats Mad with Rage and we see that happening with increasing frequency; ie, the 'Code Pink' Pinkos at the Naturalization of Citizens Ceremony last weekend. That was a disgusting display of childish petulance and jealousy, yet is an example of our First Amendment. God Bless America and God Bless President Bush. If I had a choice, who would I want back in the Oval Office after this next Election and I wouldn't hesitate for a second it would definitely be President George Bush again, over either of the 2 choices we'll have come November. Happy Birthday, Mr. President; a bit late but nonetheless very sincere.

Gravatar Well, on this war I'm 100% behind him......On immigration, I'm SO NOT.
I think the media's done a terrible disservice to Bush; slammed him at every corner, mischaracterized, lied, demeaned...and with the help of Pelosi, Harry "your president lied" Reid, etc...

We need to get back to civility again YET we need a president who's tough enough to address the slams from the left, too. WHY isn't the White House discussing the yellow cake which was only in the conservative news again this last week? Yes, it had been there, and it's been moved. who knew? Even the AP was talking about "Saddam's nuclear program.." WHAT? He didn't HAVE one, REMEMBER, folks? (ya, right).

I believe that Ari Fleischer's early departure from the WH was one of Bush's biggest losses. I'm sorry for that. And I don't believe COndi stood up enough for Israel. This post helped shore my support for this man, who I believe is a really GOOD man. thanks. good work!

Gravatar The bottom line is that the left, and by extension the MSM, has never forgiven GWB for beating Al Gore in 2000. They tried to steal the election, that didn't work. Then they blamed the SCOTUS for not letting them steal it although one of the votes was 7 to 2 to stop the counting. They then sent the MSM down to prove GWB stole the election. No matter how they counted the votes, they could not come up with a Gore win.

They are absolutely convinced Gore deserved to win. Can you imagine this country after 9/11 if Gore had been in the WH? It is a terrifying thought.

Since the 2000 election the left and the MSM have been bitter and have done everything they could to undermine him, irregardless of the damage they are doing to the country.

Gravatar z, said: "And I don't believe COndi stood up enough for Israel."

I agree

Gravatar Z, I agree with you on the immigration issue.
But there is not going to be anyone that we will agree with 100 percent.
We are never going to get it all.

Gravatar I've got a lot of issues with Bush's presidency. The biggest is border security. That being said no president in US history has ever been tested like Bush has...not even Lincoln or FDR IMO. I just don't think people understand how close we were to falling on 9/11. I shake my head when people say "we need another 9/11" to "wake us up." The US can't handle another 9/11...we will be thrown into ultimate chaos...and thank God we have a President that wants to be on the offensive in this War!

Gravatar GWB will be judged better by history than in the present day. I have not always aggreed with him, but do feel he is a better POTUS than he is given credit for. He has been a far better POTUS tha Slick Willie and a whole lot better than Jimmy carter. He has made us safe and never backed away from his goals and ideals. That is why I like him. Thanks for the GREAT post.

Gravatar Texas Truth, I see it as you do. His term was far from an easy one, but he stuck to his guns and had the courage of his convictions.
Time will tell.

Z...I agree with you on the immigration issue. No one is perfect. We have to realize that sometimes.

Gravatar I'll never consider him under-rated but he does get too much crap, mainly because we have a nation that has no idea what the presidents job is, and has no idea who is responsible for what.

Katrina- It blows my mind that the local government can drop the ball so badly and pass blame to Bush like he has any responsibility whatsoever for their problems.

Iraq- As you said, they all agreed, they all were in on it and now they want to point fingers and accuse Bush of Warcrimes.

Gas Prices- What does the president have to do with this? if anything Congress sets regulations if it were even possible to regulate. Everything went to hell in this country once a Democratic congress was elected, blows my mind that people can't put 2+2 together to see when things got bad. Not only that but their buddy Obama has again rejected any form of local drilling as an option, we have enough oil to last us 200 years under our own soil, drilling that would solve all of our problems, no more high gas prices, no more reliance on the Saudis, which means no more conflicts with us and the whackos in the middle east.

Gravatar misfit410, I agree...How they blamed him for Katrina, I will never understand go to New Orleans often, it's my favorite vacation spot. I speak to many people there about it and not one person with any amount of brains feels that way.
Thanks for the great comments.

Gravatar It was only after the USSR fell and our economy exploded that we saw the true genius of Ronald Reagan.

I'm not comparing the two, but only time will tell if GWB's decisions were right.

(They were, but time and NY Times, will tell down the line)

Gravatar There is no doubt Bush will be judged to be a great president.

When history judges great presidencies, it is always based on the long term consequence of their actions & policies.

Inconsequential presidencies like Bill Clinton might enjoy high approval ratings while in office but will NEVER be regarded as a great president.
