I suspect there's a whole lot of native British people opposed to Islamist expansion in the UK. Unfortunately, as in all the Anglophone democracies, the leftist MSM do their best to ignore or quash this, instead hyping those stories conducive to their leftist denial and appeasement agenda.
Intriguing excerpt from the Beeb article: "...Police initially investigated whether three of the people shown in the programme could be prosecuted for inciting terrorism or racial hatred.
But they later switched their attention to the documentary makers, suggesting they may have been guilty of stirring up racial hatred."
I suspect this means the British Police found that they did indeed have a case for prosecuting those rabble-rousing Imams. Appalled at the risky possibility of their having to do their duty against Islamists, the Police then attempted a switch back to their default denial/appeasement stance by attacking the Channel 4 journalists and producer instead.
So...the British people, in defending their Nation and their Freedoms, are confronted not only by the Islamists within but also by much of the very organs of the State that should -but aren't and won't- be doing this to protect the British People and Nation.

Final thought-A COMMON THREAD?
Between the British TV program and the Brit Police reaction...and the Minnesota, USA Islamic "charter school" incident, with the prior petition by the other Twin Cities "journalists" to get them fired, there is a parallel reaction, a common Western thread.
The default position of much of the (lefty) MSM is not to expose and attack hard-core Islamists in Western societies, but to seek to remain in denial and attack those who expose the Islamists. This is denial and appeasement of hard-core Islamists by the MSM and the law enforcement organs of govt.
