And then we have the BBC "analysis", entitled "Czechs used to bucking the system".
In typical dishonest BBC manner, they distort Czech history to imply Czech knee-jerk obstructionism to anything, of "subverting the system", even darkly using a literary metaphor of a Czech soldier in WW1 shirking his duty to avoid combat.
Thus, the BBC manages to criticize the Czech criticism without even mentioning any of the extremely significant specific criticisms that Czechs, Irish (and many others in other European nation states who likewise don't count) have about the Lisbon "Treaty", aka Euro-Constitution. They even omit mentioning that the Czech Parliament chose to follow what it saw as it's legal duty to submit the treaty to the Czech Constitutional Court for judicial review, prior to any Parliamentary ratification.
Of more than grammatical interest is the observed fact that the BBC even no longer capitalizes the word parliament, in referring to any parliament OTHER THAN the Euro-"Parliament". Standard rules grammar of course require capitalization when referring to a specific nation's parliament, i.e. the British Parliament. Only Euro institutions, i.e. the European Parliament, the European Commission, etc. get this subtle respect, as opposed to subtle deprecation of "mere" centuries-old national governmental institutions. All part of the BBC and other European MSM propaganda campaign for the EU.
Inasmuch as the EU uber-state is inherently anti-democratic, foisted by a group of anti-democratic European elites on a less-than-enthusiatic European polulace, we musn't expect any of the elites to respect the legalities in the treaty ratification process. Those legalities specifically state that the treaty is dead without unanimous ratification.
Whether or not the Czech Republic joins Ireland in rejection won't slow down the Euro-elites determined anti-democratic ambitions one whit.
