I beg to differ, your contention that Layton is morally bankrupt is based on the false assumption that Layton once possessed a moral code.
Substitute "Barack Obama" for "Jack Layton," and it holds just as well.
I don't know if Layton is morally bankrupt, but he certainly is intellectually bankrupt. Layton believes that everyone and every culture is equal, and that we can "reason" with anyone.
The massive volumes of evidence to the contrary don't seem to register with the man.

If Jack Layton were elected PM, all the "unionist, leftist, peacenik, and enviro-loons" would get exactly the govt. they deserve. But it will never happen. The National Socialist (and workers) Party will never poll above 15%

Correct, dmorris, but that's not just Layton's domain; it's the substance of Canada's official policy of multiculturalism. We have a massive knee-capping policy at the heart of our nation thanks to Pierre Trudeau that hinders our ability to defend freedom from less-valuable cultural influence. It is exactly multiculturalism that discourages, arguably proscribes, an in-depth public examination of the role of religion in Islamic terrorism. Because we cannot critically examine the religion at the heart of another culture or ideology (it's equally valuable, you see) we are left to focus on other "root causes". We're missing the truth and it's staring us in the face: the enemies of freedom invoke the tenets of Islam for everything they do.
