Gravatar Looking might FIERCE there baby! Loving the new coats!!

Gravatar I like the leather coat!!

Gravatar They both look good. I like theone with the fur around it. It's very stylish and you can wear it with all kinds of things.

Gravatar If it were here in Idaho I'd say the bottom one. But really, I Like the leather one better. It' makes you look fierce, baby!

Troy has supported his mother on and off since he was frickin' 14 years old. We have cleaned up more of her messes than I'd ever care to talk about (actually, give me a few drinks and I'd just LOOOOOVE to bitch for hours...)

In the best of all possible worlds, children are supposed to leave the nest when they get old enough, and then get on with their lives. The best compliment to any parent is that they raised a happy, independent child who can function well out there in the big, bad ol' world on their own.

I know that this is culturally biased. Many cultures place special roles and expectations on children that can last a lifetime. But I don't think it's right or fair. In this life you have to make your own way. Yes, hopefully with the love and support of family - but not with them smothering you or taking over.

Kris, your mother isn't even 50 yet. You are not responsible for her happiness. That only comes from within her. I know that you love her very much, but you have nothing to feel guilty for. You can never be yourself if you have to always worry about making your mother (or anyone else, for that matter) happy.

XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

Gravatar hey kris,

i'm jealous! i like both jackets. and you're right about the leather one being a nice alternative for a dress jacket. i think it works especially for nights out during the winter.

as for you taking care of your mom, well, being filipino, i think it's commendable. now, whether i myself could that for my own mother, that's a different story. but then, my mom really is independent of me and my brother. she rarely ever asks of us to do what she can easily do for herself, but i'm going to assume that your mom is going through a tough time and really needs your help.

i can only think that it is a difficult thing for you, kris, as you are trying to make a life for yourself without the added stress of trying to provide for another, but it's your mom, and i hope that she really appreciates your efforts.

good luck and best wishes to you, kris! i'm sure things will work themselves out.

Gravatar If you can afford to, I'd say keep both...otherwise, I'd choose the leather.

Hope things work out for you & Mom!

Gravatar Are you getting that for you mom? God I hope so!

Gravatar vent away; that is what blogs are for afterall.
dropping the phone down the loo sounds like nature's way to remind us to do one thing at a time.

Gravatar Oops. Big oops. So, you pee'ed on your phone....hehehehe. I found out about the $50 deductible when even my working phone just had trouble with the flipping mechanism. Sent it in, said they were going to charge me, but they didn't. Interesting. Thanks for the comment on my site. Really appreciate it.
