Gravatar I know exactly what you mean Kris, I'm 100% the same way. It hurts to avoid people because it makes you feel worse, and you know it upsets them, but you can't stop. I think sometimes it's just about wanting to crawl into a shell.

Take these things one step at a time: set a time limit on yourself as to how long the episodes will last. Once you do that you'll find the habit easier to kick. I'll do the same - we'll work through it together; maybe I'll even mail you to tell you when it has happened, and that will make me feel stupid enough to stop

And you know, it's _bread_. It's not all that different. It might just be that you had a routine which is being knocked out now, but don't be scared to throw yourself in the deep end and try something new. {{Hugs}}

Gravatar We all need fine tuning. Some things are tremendously hard to shake off in life... Maybe when you grow older, it'll come easier for you. At least right now you realized what you've been doing, and I think it's great. Maybe when next time you feel like going back into your shell, really give it an effort to talk it out a bit. It might be difficult even to utter a word, but try... cuz you deserve it! It doesn't have to be a full blown confrontation... just talk.

Nothing hardly ever happens by itself. xoxo

Gravatar Wow that is a great website. B and I are taking the personality test tonight.

I knew/know a guy who use to ignore people if he was upset. There were times when he was mad at me for weeks at a time and I didn't know about it b/c we didn't see each other that much. I am thinking of sending him the link to the site even though we don't really keep in touch anymore. I think he might benefit from it.
