Anyway, weird floor plan. I don't understand why anyone would want both bedrooms coming right off the living room, and a kitchen as soon as you get in the door (fire escape route much?). I guess you don't have to keep it all that way though, and it looks purdy from the artist's impression.
Oh and hey, I got Mario Kart! So you can always try and beat me on there? I should warn you though I've been playing since waaaaaaay back on the SNES, N64, GCN etc so likely I will just have to school ya ;P
Good luck with the job search and I hope you find an apartment that's perfect. But yeah, the odd place of the dining room and bedrooms is kinda wacky. But I guess you can swap the living room for the dining room, but then you'll be smelling dinner while in bed.
I'm bummed to hear your dad hasn't warmed up to your coming out. I hope he does.

I know what you mean about friends. It is harder to make friends once you get older. Especially when you are in a new city. It seems people are much more clickish at our age.
Catching up on blogs so I am posting this to what is, of course, "old news" but...maybe it is the New York City in me and living in 600 sf or less for the last 10 years (7 of which in a studio loft) but DAMN. I love the layout of the place, awkward DR and all! I would be thrilled! Plus an outdoor space???? And you aren't a millionaire at the moment??? Wow.
