Ah, my Angel... labels and compliments, most of which I will not accept nor be worthy of. However, a "fierce patriot" is one hat I will wear with honor until I suck my last breath of sweet American air.
God bless you, Hot Rod.

This is really stupid. Why don't we just wave a flag of surrender and invite the Islamofascists to kill us all? I don't see much difference. This Dhimmitude will get us all killed in the long run. Might as well get it over with! GRRRRRRR!

Hi guys... I sincerely apologize for my slackness. It is hunting season and I am in the woods morning and evening while trying to hold the lid down on biz in between.
In all honesty, I am so thoroughly put out with the ongoing capitulation that I have reached the saturation point. I have started to write numerous times now and ended up deleting the whole damn thing. The words are the same and so are the sentiments. Until I can find something to legitimately contribute, I will mutter under my breath and not post the same rants again and again. (I say that and yet you watch how bellicose I become when I finally crawl up on my soapbox again! HA!)
I have made some paper and pencil notes while I sat in my treestand a couple of mornings ago. My intention is to turn them into some kind of post that attempts to bring the serenity of the woods to my friends. I absolutely love my time out, and up, there. It would bring me great pleasure if I could find a way to convey this comforting scenario to the great people that come here and read my dribble.
But I have to do it when the timing is right and I can write it out carefully for you. In the meantime, I encourage you to find your own space for contemplation and an opportunity to de-pressurize.
Oh, and Frasypoo! What a high compliment to ask if I was in the Navy! I am sad to state that I never had the honor of joining any branch of our service. I had trashed both knees by the time I was 14 and had permanently ruined 60% of my right eye vision at 19. I can still shoot pretty damn straight (although it took three years to retrain myself) but the military was uninterested in me from stem to stern. I unknowingly traded an unabiding enthusiasm for motorcycles for any chance of entering any arm of our military.
"Hindsight" is now officially 20-50, and only with corrective lenses!
God bless each of you. I'll be around again soon!

Most people will think it's just like St. Patty's Day. Over at Israpundit, they would call this an example of "The Green Plague". That's what they say Islamification should be called. So, therefore, "STOP THE GREEN PLAGUE!". Spread the word!
absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
allow Islamic conquest
.
PS... FYI, Check out Mark Levin's new book "Rescuing Sprite". It's about their dog who they rescued from a shelter and then after a couple years had to have put to sleep. If you want you can post that dog story you had a while ago over on his site. Those people and anybody who loves dogs will love this story. I will get a few copies for friends and family this Christmas.

I'm a fireman in NYC (19 years in the South Bronx, the last 3 years in HazMat Co #1) and I hate to have to say this, but New York will almost certainly have to be hit again for the Liberals here to have a chance of waking up.
Even then, I'm afraid their reflexive reaction would be to blame America.
The Moore-Gore-Soros-MoveOn-MediaMatters Axis, or the "Far Left" in America is an enemy every bit as determined as any Muslim extremist.
They revile our Constitutional Republic and defile it regularly by calling it a "democracy."
Ben Franklin rightly defined a "pure democracy" as "Four wolves and a sheep deciding on what's for dinner."
The radical American Left is more vile than even the radical Islamists. The Left is merely more stealthy, more insidious in its means.
The American left is really our PRIMARY enemy, militant Islam is the Left's temporary ally right now.

you are sooooooo right! they want us to be a democracy so that the resultant chaos will better enable them to solidify control. this is inturn allows them to take over the country truly by stealth.
if left up to them, we will all be dhimmi's before too much longer.

Hi USpace! It is always a true pleasure to have you visit and comment... I apologize for having very little new to view here. My annual hunting addiction has once again consumed me and I am intensively chasing my horned obsession with the usual non-guarantee of any real success. BUT, it is rare that I get a chance to shoot one in my kitchen, so I must head for the woods!
JMK, what a bright new light you place on our horizon. It is such a distinct honor to have someone of your background and service contribute here! Thank you for your flurry of multiple comments on my aged posts. We certainly have nothing to debate or argue about as we are exactly on the same page. Once I get back to just attending to my business and family, perhaps I can add some posts here worthy of your review. I appreciate your time visiting here.
Heidianne, you and the great folks who continue to read my rants are surely in the minority that will NEVER become 'dhimmified'. BTW, I was impressed, but hardly surprised, that you home schooled your children with a distinct emphasis on history. I don't think many people understand the tremendous challenge of that decision and the effort it mandates. A justified tip of the hat to you!
Hi Frasypoo! Nothing to worry about, dear lady... this hunting mania will pass in another two weeks (less if I find my deer earlier).
I often wonder where my life would have headed had I been able to join ANY branch of our military. But what is... is. I have been blessed with a very complete and adventuresome life, frequently right on the very edge of excitement! I don't discuss that here much at all, though, as I try to make my posts more about our people's concerns rather than myself.
To answer your personal query, I began riding motorcycles at the age of six and was racing flat track (oval dirt) by the time I was eleven. I rode dirt bikes, then street going self-made 2 wheeled hot rods, then more racing stuff, and have developed a big passion for planning and building go-fast Harleys. But I actually involve myself with many, many different types/applications of engines in all categories. The other obsession in my life, these endeavors keep me young (as long as they don't kill me!).
One of these days, FP, I plan on e-mailing you and picking your brain for kick butt Indian recipes... I even have some of my own to offer in trade if you were interested. I have never met an Indian man or woman who could not cook the most incredible food and I'll wager that you are no exception! What do you think? Any chance of me making headway with such an idea?
Hope you are all well... keep smiling and try to stay happy!

Heidianne, the call to "democracy" is actually a way to subvert the Constitution that reins in the abuses of the government and prevents mob rule or the unbridled will of the majority.
Leftists revile America's underpinnings that evolved from Edmund Burke and Adam Smith.
Leftists/Socialists believe that private property is the bain of the existence of man, while America's founders KNEW that private property is the foundation of individual liberty.
The Left pushes for "democracy" because they know that the poor will always outnumber the wealthy, just as the slothful will always outnumber the productive, the ignorant and misguided will always outnumber the knowledgable and informed...THAT is why they support "democracy" and "majority rule," they want and happily encourage "mob rule," which they inanely believe will result in the equalization of the populace, the end of poverty and the the eradication of "wealth as the measure of man."
They are, in effect, economic terrorists, and as such, they deserve to be treated as any other terrorist - "hung by the neck until they cheer up."
Defiant_Infidel, I'm glad I stumbled upon your blog.
In all of the Northeast, it would seem that Maine is still one of the more Conservative enclaves. I know Vermont is gone the way of MA, Conn, RI, which is to say, on par with the Mid-Atlantic NY/NJ Axis.
We may currently be cursed by a blessing. So many today don't recall the hideous impact of Stagflation under Jimmy Carter, so many have been reared fat, dumb and happy under the blanket of economic security that Supply-Side policies, which have held sway since Reagan came into office, so many take our current prosperity for granted, that they don't realize that it's the result of specific policies - Supply Side policies that have blessed us with a quarter century of unprecedented prosperity.
There are two kinds of Liberals, in my view, the woefully misguided and ignorant, and those who truly revile Capitalism and individualism.
The first, while I feel for their ignorance, I wish they wouldn't vote, in fact, I support an "issues exam" for voters, but the latter (those who truly revile Capitalism and individualism) I don't consider them "Americans."
I DO consider them "economic terrorists," just as worthy of death as any Islamist terrorist.

JMK, as impressively astute as you are about history, you missed by light years on Maine being some sort of Conservative bastion. Perhaps when I was a very young boy... a looooooong time ago! We are awash with the most pathetic excuses for the 'politically informed' that you might find anywhere. It is an utterly deplorable condition and it shames me beyond any manner of description.
There is one liberal gentleman, and I do mean "gentleman", who visits my blog on occasion and brings with him great experience and intelligence. He is so very different from what you and I would deem a stereotyped lib, but he is unabashedly liberal nonetheless. I liked him instantly and I really enjoy his ability to debate my points with his strong brain. But I always get up from my computer feeling like my body resembles a giant question mark after "speaking" with him. I don't understand how he arrives at his perspective. He is polite, much more soft spoken than myself (which is like saying I am some sort of quiet grenade!) and very reasoned. But I still can't make it all fit together and he leaves me no less convinced of his views than before we have an exchange. He sure is a wonderful alternative to his comrades methods of "discussion" though.
Your views of lefties in general are severe... and I wish I could say I disagreed with them and they were not valid. But I don't... and they are.
It is my sincere pleasure you have chosen to visit here and comment. I surely hope you will do it again. Most important of all, I thank you for your service to your city and fellow humankind.
Best to you.

That is one of the more depressing revelations I've come across DI.
I don't know why, but I always figured Maine was separated from the Massachusetts-Vermont-Rhode Island "Kennedy-esque" kind of Liberalism.
That is indeed disheartening.
I think the severity of my views is the result of my coming from this Left-wing cauldron that is NYC and living in such an incredibly and apparently hopelessly Liberal region.
And I do make a distinction between Liberals" and "Left-wing extremists," or "radicals," like those in the Moore-Gore-Soros-MoveOn-DKos-HuffPoo Axis. I suppose I should make that more clearly in all my posts. Thanks for reminding me.
I think most people have some views that cross the spectrum, but there is a certain malevolent type, always complaining, always down on all things "America," always willing to believe the worst about America, an "I'll know them when I see them" type of person, whom I consider "as much an enemy of this country as any Islamic Extremist.

JMK, I can assure you it is equally depressing to have been born and raised here and to have lived through the transition.
Actually, my career took me all over the world and I was gone from here for the most part of twenty years. I returned home, to establish my business and live, in 1991. The realization of the liberal takeover was a more painful fist to the chin than anything I had ever encountered in any hand to hand conflict! Conservatives remain here, but substantially frustrated and living away from the coast, toward the northwest and northern portions of our beautiful state. The left leaning yuppies are generally in the populated areas. Massachusetts is primarily responsible for this huge influx of liberal transplants. Like everything, there are infrequent, surprising and PLEASANT exceptions on occasion, but they remain in painfully short supply.
I can relate to what you say about NYC from my own experience there and here, plus I have had the great privelage of "meeting" some staunch exceptions to the norm through this medium, like yourself, who reside in the Apple.
I find it almost impossible to have a reasonable conversation with most liberals of current day. That is why I have such tremendous respect for the unusual exceptions, like the gentleman I mentioned before. I just don't agree and I have plenty of reasons, not IMPULSES, for that... just like you and other real Conservatives do.
Conservatives are frequently accused of being heartless. I think that is just so much BS! My heart is large and generous, and I defy anyone with knowledge of what I have done in my life to dispute that. And I believe that to be the standard for most Conservatives. We have strong heart, faith and compassion... it's just that we THINK with our BRAINS, even when it HURTS our HEARTS!
Thanks again for your input, Sir.
