Gravatar Truly exceptional!

God bless you.

Gravatar Thank God for our brave soldiers, past, present, and future!

Gravatar i don't know how you created this dena - i'm bawling like a baby and so in awe of this video and what you've written as well, di.

is it just me or is there ever a person in the uniform of our military that isn't absolutely handsome/beautiful? must be that self-sacrifice thing...

dena, thank you for including the pictures of my nephews colin and colin, jr. you did all of them justice and them some. i cannot imagine a more heartfelt or fitting tribute.

gob bless you both.

Gravatar Good post.

Gravatar WOW! What a beautiful story! You made this old man feel very important as he should.

Gravatar Infidel, what an honor you paid that man....so fitting. I know he'll never forget it.

The video is amazing...Dena did a fabulous job! And what a terrific thing to have asked us all for pictures. My family's so new to this country that I didn't have anyone who fought for us, but I'll tell you I join you and all the good bloggers FIGHTING NOW, with maybe a different kind of fight but a BIG FIGHT, right?

God bless you, Dina and Infidel, for such a beautiful piece and God bless all the people who have fought or are still fighting for America.

Gravatar Absolutely wonderful tribute. Thank you for contacting me so I could contribute something personal to this effort.

No matter how we feel about the politics of war, we should all take time to share brief moments of respect and tribute to the fine soldiers everywhere who have struggled and still struggle to keep our dreams alive. There is no shame in serving your country. There is only pride.

Again, thanks for including my father and nephew.

Gravatar As always, you've capture what is hard to put into words. This veteran and friend is forever thankful. You also understand the sacrifice of duty, your loved ones are always in my heart. I stand proudly behind them protecting this countries freedoms and liberty.
Pro Patria.
My respect an love are in your favor.

Tipping my wing your way.

Gravatar D_I and Miradena, this is a wonderful and heartfelt tribute. Beautiful work. Congratulations and thanks to you both.

Gravatar We must honor them and their families with a regard that is proper and fitting for their sacrifices.

And we must never allow their accomplishments to be eroded, rendering their spilled blood ineffective and given in vain...yes yes yes my friend!
God bless them all and you as well!

Gravatar Dang it, DI! I've recently had a cateract removed and have to take eye drops. I'm sure I've washed the eye drops out with my tears! First the tears began rolling at your description of the elderly hero with the Purple Heart licence plates, and when I recovered from that Miradena's video got me started all over again!

Bless you both! This is without a doubt one of the very best tributes to our veterans that I've ever seen. Thank you.

Gravatar Great tribute and video DI, great job. Amazing story of yours, it made me cry too. My uncle was in Vietnam, but I didn't have any photos to send you. Thank you for asking though.

absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
abandon the Iraqis

just like in Vietnam
nothing is worth fighting for

.
absurd thought -
God of the Universe says
dishonor your soldiers

tell bad lies about them
effecting children for life
.

Gravatar Fantastic post and a wonderful tribute to all our loved ones.
Thankyou for all the work that went into doing this

Gravatar Great job again Dena. Had me sifting through my mind at the black & whites from my grandfather & fathers times in the wars (1 & 2). Haven't looked at those pictures in quite some time, but I think the books are coming out next visit to my mother.

Stay safe & well -

Ed

Gravatar I'm sorry it took so long to see this. Great post DI, Dena.
