di, having walked that land with you - just a bit - i can totally relate to the FEEL of it there. of course i don't have the history with it that you do, but through you i've been able to glean your history a bit. i'm so glad you shared on this. and sorry, if my irrational fear of birds is annoying and detracts from things for you when i'm desperately trying to avoid ALL THOSE WILD TURKEYS on your land as we're walking around...
dena - OMG, i LOVE, LOVE, LOVE carmen's! having gone to school in philadelphia, i love most things south jersey and can heartily attest to the fact that there is a HUGE difference between the north and south of that state - almost as large a difference between the north and south of this country. and if you read my meme post, you will see that i ALWAYS order by cheesesteak WIZZ, WIT ONIONS!!! yum - but it has to be from jim's or it's not real - IMHO...
di, i also love curry - but, then, i think we've had that discussion - and have bookmarked that site, thanks! dena, i hate pickles no matter the kind, but i'm down with the peanut butter on toast and vanilla bean ice cream.
as for the films you mentioned, dena, i've seen them and all love them so much. it puts me in mind of the jimmy buffet song "they don't dance like carmen no more" - they just don't make movies like that any more. and di, techinal manuals? are you related to mr. j??? and i believe that "extreme" is in the eye (or body?) of the participant? sort of ties into the whining thing - doesn't it?
i'm so, so, so, glad y'all shared these topics - i love getting to know both of you better. i find myself nodding along as i read the paragraphs on each topic. i'll leave you now on this (finally) beautiful day in southeastern maine. i wish both of you the happiest of july 4th's - and a wonderful weekend as well!!!
