Three of the six committee members are sponsors.
McDowell, Hall-Long, and Blevens are the other three.
Henry is the chairman of the committee.

So that's four of six then? With Henry as sponsor, this thing will definitely be voted out of committee.

It depends on what committee Adams gives it to and how long he holds onto it before he assigns it to a committee. Right?

Al Macitti noted and anyone who's smoked the shit would concur that 6 ounces a month is WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY more than one god lovin' Rasta could choke down alone in that time period. I guess they used that from some advisory source but let me say WTF?
This should go forward but perhaps the dosage can be reviewed.

I may not have made my point there, using Rastafarians...religious usage...but with a high grade product, staying smoked up 24/7 I still would doubt that an individual user would go through more than an ounce a week.

Nancy, doesn't the ounces depend on the potency. I doubt the govt would grow and sell highly potent pot.

With Senator Venables on board, I think it will be difficult to stop in the Senate.
As far as dosage or potency, it really should be legal in the first place, for any use, so let's not get too paternalist or authoritarian in looking to alter this legislation.
It is a naturally self-regulating drug with no known lethal dosage, so there is no risk of over-prescribing it. Better that users have access to what they need, with a high maximum weight available in a given time period, than it be dribbled out to people in small dosages possibly less than what they need.
Price will also take care of any excessive purchases, since a medical availability regime will not immediately cut prices radically, as demonstrated by pricing in California marijuana dispensaries.
This is a major development towards bringing positive progress to Delaware on an issue for which current law has created serious medical, social, cultural, and law enforcement negatives across the board for decades...all at the expense of personal liberty, responsibility, and health/lifestyle choice.

The legalization of marijuana is inevitable. Tax, regulate, and control distribution for medical needs, and use some of the tax revenue to rid the streets of the chemicals in cocaine, crack, heroin and meth. Test job applicants and welfare recipients for chemicals not from the earth. The New England Journal of Medicine says we are supposed to smoke it - for chronic pain, for nausea and side effects of chemo, to improve appetite and digestion for HIV patients. Even if more women experienced how cannabis relieves the suffering of PMS and/or menopause, a quantity of 6 oz per month is way adequate.
Dana, keep up the good work.

Legalize it nationwide. This tinkering with it is bs...pure and simple. I think they confused 6 oz with 6 grams.
Native americans have been using it medicinally for years. It is a medicine which is why the AMA and big pharma dont want it passed..they would loose big time on all those horrific make believe chemcials they use for pain. Ever read the side effects of the chemically treated pain meds put out by big Pharma?
It needs to be decriminalized. Police should ignore anyone who uses it and view the entire thing as not important to police work. Go after the heroin and crack and leave the pot to the adults who choose it.
