Jason,
By quoting a commenter on your blog, you haven't redeemed the fact that your charges are wrong--wrong as a matter of fact, logically wrong, and hypocritical since DE Dems receive money from DE PACS, even Dem candidates who support open government.

I wasn't out to redeemed anything. I was pointign out how predictable you are.
So you aren't bothered by the shadowy DCCC string pullers. Fine.
As a voter in that district, I'd like JC will be working for. It is that simple.
Dave could easily clear this all up.

"I was pointign out how predictable you are."
You predicted that Dave has been planing to form this pact for months long before he even made the acquaintance of JC and I knew about it and would say so?
Wow, Jason, that's quite a remarkable prediction. How are you fixed for predicting the powerball? Any tips?
Why do you even attempt to defend yourself about these things? They are stupid and your defense of them only makes you seem more foolish.
I don't get it. I don't get it at all.

The one thing I notice is that Mr. Ennis has on his mail out pieces paid for by the Ennis Senate Campaign Com. and all of Christians literature has DCCC printed on it. Now who is up front and who is not. No accounting for Christians literature. Mr. Ennis' literature will show up on his financial report. Sleezy politics always surfaces. Who is honest and who is not. The Christian campaign needs a lesson in honesty.

Joanne Christian will be free to vote her conscience and represent the people of the 14th district. She owes nothing to anyone. DCCC's involvement came as a result of what she has done and her positions on the issues.

This whole thing with Christian running is plain BULL. Some one asked her a question on growth and questions on other things-she had no answer. Once again, the R's want a puppet who has no opinions of their own, no passion for the office, and that the info fed to them is only spoon fed in the manner the R's choose it. Control is the theme of the R's for their individual personal gain and not the peoples' interests.

"Too?" What makes you think I'm even interested. Besides, Dunn decided to primary Gilligan last year and entered the race for about 2 days before he lost his nerve:

q=Dunn
It looks like he did what he was ordered to do: withdraw from the race which is undoubtedly why you like him. He obeys like all good establishment Democrats do.
Besides, Nancy, I caution you against coming out in support of Dunn too soon. After all, Sen. Harris McDowell might declare that reelecting Gilligan in 08 is vitally important and imagine the egg you'll have on your face when you have to switch from endorsing Dunn to Gilligan.

That's two days longer than you. At the top of this thread I thought it was a go and now...? I hope the party overlords did not have a hand in your decision.
Anyway, if you decide to give it a shot let me know. It would be fun to be on the same team as Burris.

Why would you think it was a go when I wrote on my post "I believe I told Burris something like it was more likely that the sun wouldn't rise tomorrow than that I would seriously consider running for elected office."
Besides, no overlords would dare approach me about not running if I decided to because I would bite their heads off. You'd be surprised what unpleasantness and hypocrisy one avoids from being feared by those who want to limit democracy.

Dana, this is your typical, weak-ass waffling. Your defense of Dave setting up his pack as soon as he and Copeland got into hot water on funding for JC is that he promised to do it for you months ago. What a load of shit. Dave's timing and your now admission that you are not seriously considering a run at all says that it is all about JC. And his refusal to make the contributions public suggests it was set up deliberately to mask who is getting involved with her campaign and on what level.
You omission of your non-intentions to accept the support of those who want Gilligan out of office from the body of your post makes this whole thing even more ridiculous.

Nancy,
Many prople know about the rumor that went around months ago about me running against Ennis. Even Dunn heard it and asked me about it at Ed Osbournes Blight Party.
I am not serioously considering only says that rumors get a bigger. I told plenty of people about--Mike M.. Tyler., Richard Korm. I told them about on Dem who said he could raise money for me and one Repub--all of it months ago. But I wasn't interestd becsayse I didn't want to run.
Thayt's the truth and you know it.
Your pronblerm is how your phoinees has bene exposed once more in your support of establishment Dems and for AS ALWAYS McDowell. The attempt to smear Ramone w/ lies asbout who really acted dirty inj the campsaign ws crushed ny our evidence and you provided none for yours. How you used your lie about the race to cover up for the sign vandalsikm that Ennis supporters engaed in was exposed as well.
In short, you lost every argument, eas caught dissimentsting false informstiuon and wwass thorouhhly dicrrditird.

BS,
You are so fucking full of BS you're certainly deserving of your cretinous moniker. The conclusion you draw is ridiculous. And the fact that Ennis drew so much is no surprise and it changes absolutely nothing. I endorsed no one in this race, but am certainly able to point out the flaws in both candidates. Joanne Christian had quite a few, but Bruce really only had one. But it's a biggie. He now serves at the pleasure of Thurman Adams. End of story. However, I'll be watching Sen. Ennis closely should he fool with my expectations. Then -- and only then -- will I approach him on June 30 next year and offer an apology. Like he'd give a shit or know who the hell I was, but that's besides the point.
Dana never claimed Christian would win, so he could hardly be called a "FOOL" as you suppose. Only FOOLS like yourself can't see behind your illogical reasoning and look at cogent arguments put forth by informed individuals.

Get a grip Nancy. Only a self loathing liberal would support a backwater good ole boy like Ennis. You people are such a fucking joke. Let's elect Vaughn's good old buddy - march into his new Senate office - and hope for the best. Yaaay! We can do it! We are a "pact"! We can teach this old dog new tricks! We will show him and Daniello!
Matthews is right except he forgot to leave out that Ennis also doesn't give a fuck about any other bloggers either especially you Nancy. So face up to it. You are owned by the Democrat machine lock stock and gun barrel. Now choke on that when Ennis's head is firmly planted up Adams's cauliflower ass. Better yet wash it down with another healthy swig.

Let them gloat now. I'll do mine later as I follow Ennis in the Senate very closely and record on the web every time he votes to keep government closed, to restrict the voting and electoral rights of Delawareans, takes gifts from big money, obeys the orders of Daniello and Adams, and continues to neglect the needs of the little people (like those who live in manufactured housing). I will smear it all in the faces of the Jasons, the Nancy Willings, and the many cowardly anonymous commenters on this race.
Here's your mistake. Time is on my side. The more you back bad, anti-democratic candidates, the more you give me a record that you have done so, which I will use against you later. Count on it. It will be your just reward.
But if anti-democratic legislators like Ennis should come to Jesus and start voting the right way, then it's no skin off my nose to admit I was wrong (like I've done w/ Beau Biden) because I will still get what I want: BETTER & MORE OPEN GOVERNMENT FOR DELAWAREANS.
By consistently establishing a written record for open government, even when it means endorsing against my own party's candidates, and recording the Janson's and Nancy's compromises et al w/ anti-democratic candidates like Ennis, when open government finally does come to Delaware, the record will then show that it came IN SPITE OF the work of the Jason Scott's and Nancy Willings, etc. But no one will be able to say that about me. I will be numbered among the others who never deviated from that goal.
So what you folks don't realize is this: I have already checkmated you. You are already beaten. Here's why.
You can win the lion share of the battles (like these races), but I will win the war. You help elect bad guys who support closed government, I win. It puts me on the correct side and you on the wrong side. If I always support good guys who support open government and you don't. I win and you lose.
So when it is all said and done, people will say of you, he or she almost always supported their party's candidate regardless of their closed government policies. But they will not be able to say that about me.
But most importantly, the people of this state will have the open government they DESERVE and it will occur IN SPITE OF your blind and cultish efforts to stop it.
