Gravatar I'm pretty sure that hikers are not allowed to go about armed in this part of Canada.

And the trail she was on was both short and quite popular. It wasn't like she was 80 miles deep in the forest. But that didn't matter. As you've written in the past, coyotes adapt really well. They don't need the purest wilderness to thrive. But they're still coyotes: predators. Violent wild animals. And the ones in the north east are growing quite large, filling in the niche that the wolves once filled.

So don't be prey. If you can't go armed, then don't go alone.


Gravatar These laws are wrong, yes. The people advocating them are evil. And I can't make any apologies for thinking that. I simply cannot come to any other conclusion.
