I assume you're talking about
"H.R. 2159: Denying Firearms and Explosives to Dangerous Terrorists Act of 2009."
As a USAF member, who holds a security clearance, who is blogging from sunny Afghanistan right this very second, I am really irritated by this nonsense. Especially because I am on the list too (guess I'm in good company with Sen Kennedy!). And guess what -- its just about impossible to get off.
What's next? Should individuals that the Attorney General deems to be dangerous terrorists (oh, the list is classified by the way -- and yes, he can arbitrarily put anyone on there -- its to keep the children safe, of course!) be denied the right to peaceably assemble or write letters to the editor? Or maybe forfeit the right to be protected against unreasonable search and seizure?

When I'm in a gun shop and someone is filling out a 4473 I love to lean over this shoulder, put my finger down on the question "have you ever been convicted" and say "Teddy Kennedy cannot buy a gun on account of that!"

Seth,
Nice line
To be a bit self-serving, here's a link to a post I made over on Arma Borealis detailing my reaction to HR 2159.

It basically elaborates on my thoughts above in greater detail.
Cheers,
Chris
