I've had the opposite problem: horrible symptoms and sickness, coughing, fever, whatever ... right up until the time you actually get to the doctor's office. Then magically everything clears up, swelling goes away, temperature is normal, and you just know the doctor is marking the little "fake" box on his chart.

This also tends to happen when the wife comes back after I stay home from work.
