Morning Denny ,
I've been in a pawn shop, but I was looking for a camera lens without having to pay too much for one.....never found one so I gave up the idea. Now you becareful and don't sell everything in your house for quick cash...someone could be watching and think you've turned into a druggie needing a quick fix with your new found ''quick cash".
You have yourself a nice day now ,
Jan

Morning Denny,
Don't think of it as pathetic, think of it as an adventure!
I have never been in a pawnshop!
Hey that was more than you would have gotten at a garage sale I think. I just can't figure out the lucrativeness of owning a pawnshop but there must be $ in it because there are a LOT of them!

Morning Denny!
I've been to a couple pawn shops in my day (with The PK) and thay have lots of goodies there (I just mostly check out the jewelry and CD's while The PK checks the power tools).
That's an idea....getting rid of stuff I don't use and getting some money for it in the deal. Time to spring clean Palace Peanut and maybe make some cash!
Thanks for the idea!

Denny, guilty as charged. I have never been in a pawn shop either. Thanks for the tour of what it is like both from the buying and selling side of things.
I think they must be thriving now because, at least here in Michigan, the economy is not doing so well. People must be doing just like you did and selling what they have. That is a wonderful idea. A garage sale would have been work and probably got you much les than 50 dollars period.
Just don't pawn your computer!!! Morning Denny.

barman, I'd have to be down to my last penny before I would sell my computer.... and maybe not even then.

Now that you've done the Pawn Shop thing, it's time to move up to the big time: e-bay. Since you have some time on your hands and a computer.......

Al... I've thought about Ebay... but it's not quite the same. I think I like the sleasiness of the pawn shop.

My 1st time to one was in 2001 to look for stuff stolen from my house, and it was there! The police confiscated it all back for me. Now, 6 years later, I'm thinking of pawning it just to get it out of the basement.
I couldn't interest you in a nice pair of almost new stage monitors and other misc. band equipment, could I?
