Ack I don't like tomato juice but I can totally relate to "they don't make em' like they used to". *sigh*
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Tomato juice and V8! I will have it sometimes with breakfast but sometimes I just have it as a treat to myself.
Yes, it is thinner. Packages of food are smaller (but the price isn't). They sorta sneak it in there like that and then one day its like "Hey - this is smaller than it used to be" but you can never put a date on when it happened - sneaky little devils.
There are lots of things that just don't work as well as they once did, if you get my drift.
I love V-8, but it gives me heartburn brcause it's so acidic.

I'm not a big fan of tomato juice...but I do like V-8...does that make any sense at all? Probably not....
And nothing seems to taste as good as it used to when I was a kid....seems everything was better!
To me, Oreo cookies don't taste like they used to. They're just not as... Oreo somehow.
Ah tomato juice. I occasionally drink V8 in the morning. Other times I have it as a treat to myself part way through the day. I tend to head for the V8 rather than tomato juice itself.
Yep things change. Mostly I see sizes go down. That 15 1/2 ounce can used to be 16 onces. I only heard of one case where people noticed them doing it and put a stop to it. It was feminine hygiene product and they cut down the number in a package. The women protested big time and it was reversed.
I know they make tweaks to things like coke all the time so I suppose, why not tomato juice. To bad it was for the worse.
Warning: Spicy V8 is a highly addictive commodity, but no so good at breakfast time--much too zesty! 
Evening, Denny: I should BLOG about this someday.It was the last shift of my second job. Yes, another layoff. A very layed back friend (no pun intended) had me drive him to his house. He said "C'mon in". He went to his bar, took out two styrofoam cups and poured in 2 inches of Vodka. We then drove to a nearby Denny's and ordered breakfast with Tomato Juice. No one around us knew that we had breakfast "Marilyn Monroe style". He said "How's the attitude now? Changes things up doesn't it?" LMAO!!! Thanks for a great memory!
Things that aren't the same as they once were..hmmm. I took abt a 15 min 'break' and I still cant come up with anything.
I will be back, when I do though!
Tomatoe juice is only good with alcohol. Alcohol for breakfast is bad so I've heard. Not that I'd know first hand or anything...
