I once submitted a poem to a "Poetry Contest", and my poem was selected for publication. Of course if I wanted to see it in print it was $49.95.

So I submitted another, which was the worst piece of doggerel possible, and it too was selected for publication.

When I told my son about it he suggested we buy a copy of the book just to see what it was like, so we split the cost. It was the biggest pile of crap I ever saw. I did the math, and if half of the people who had poetry in there bought the book, the publishing company was making a mint!

This is a new chorus on an old song!
