Thanks for reminding me about St. Patricks day, Denny. There is no such thing celebrated over here, but I have fond memories about the celebrations back in San Francisco.

We had reservations in Savannah, GA this week-end and cancelled them due to so much to do w/ the new house. *sigh* I bet they are already partying down there!

Around my neck of the woods everyone's more interested in drinking green beer than anything ... the majority of the people around me are german ... me, I'm scots-irish, welsh, english, german ... my first name would make you think I'm Irish to the core but alas, Erin also means Ireland in Wales ... my middle and maiden name are both highly HIGHLY welsh ... go figure.
Enough babbling, I was up WAY too late ... I'll pay someone to bring me coffee and donuts.

Well, it's a rather big celebration in Ohio where you have bars like "O'Malley's, O'Shea's and so forth. But I have cut my alcohol consumption to almost nil, as I've been taking off weight. So, I don't miss the near riot conditions at these spots.
Our Irish friends used to have a party at their house, but everyone's moved or divorced or died or something. Green beer at Macado's is about all there is left 
I'm thinking of making Irish Stew tomorrow. Does that count?

Oh and to answer your blog question: I used to drink green beer at bars, but not anymore. I'm married with a mortgage.
