I know what you mean...I feel the same way when I watch the evening news. It's all death and anger and meaness and everthing having to be so damn PC...makes me sick sometimes.

I was just sitting outside yesterday evening with my "kids" (my dogs) and I asked them outloud (I swear I did): "Would you come with me to Costa Rica? We may not be able to afford many dog treats...but there's lots of sandy white beaches to romp on and lizards to chase!"

Paradise exists....we just have to GET there!

Last August I spent a week working at an orphanage in Mexico. No TV, no radio no running hot water. limited drinking water. When I got home I turned on the TV and faced an onslaught, a veritable avalanche of crap. I turned it off, and the only thing I watch now is baseball.
If you are a Mariners fan, that is depressing enough.

There is a website called springfieldohio.net that has only good news and a local newspaper that only allows good news. I saw it laying at a Texas Roadhouse restaurant. Too bad there aren't more like them.

I agree about the news. And you know if they would just report the news and not over report it or even make it like I feel they do then it would not be to bad.

I tend to get my news from my morning show program on the radio. The show seems to seems to quickly report and nit dwell which I find OK. If I want more I hit cnn and foxnews. Can't do just one because they balance each other.
