My dogs usually only bark when they have reason to bark....and even then, I usually get on their furry little asses about it.

We live in Bear Branch Kingwood, and there is a simular rule with our houseing association. My neighbor got a ticket for his dog! I was floored that they actually wrote that one in...I/O

What I'd like to know is how the police prove the dog barked for 30 minutes straight. Do they take their coffee break outside the dog's home and time it?

seriously, anyone sitting around with a stopwatch listening to a dog bark to see if it adds up to 30 minutes needs to get a life... LOL

If my dog started barking like that I would hope someone would call the police. She only barks that bad when she hears someone outside or when she hears people yelling like they might be fighting. Used to have a neighbor like that till she kicked him out and now the street is a quiet one again. I always know if someone comes on my porch long before they have time to knock. She is a good watchdog.
But she does bark when the wild cats or squirrels try to cross my yard and when the fuel guy comes to fill my oil for the furnace or the gas guy comes to fill the gas tanks for my kitchen stove.
All I have to do is tell her it is ok and she stops barking.
