Good morning, Denny!
Well, we always had the "five second rul" when it came to any food item that touched the ground (unless we dropped our gum in the sand...then it got tossed).
But honestly, if I didn't feel like making more toast and it was my own blood on the end of the needle? Sure, I'd wipe it off the best I could (or just pull out the chunk of bread with the blood on it) and eat it.
So, what did you do?

Good morning Denny. I read in the Cleveland Plain Dealer today about a stroke study involving the ability to swallow after having a stroke. A large percentage of stroke paitients are not checked for the ability to swallow and therefore ingest liquid into their lungs and then get pnemonia. Just another thing to think about. I hope you have a good day and get lucky. Bye for now, Danny.

I would not give it a second thought. If it was someone else's needle then I would been uneasy with the toast.
Isn't that fun. I was taking my reading daily and I got pretty good at it. I really need to get back to that again. I know when I eject the needle, my but that thing rockets out of there. I so can picture what you said happening. Good thing it did not go in the coffee, that would just be wrong.
Glad you have three nurses looking out for you. Are any of them cute? You are holding out on us! Now make those nurses happy and do your home work.

Morning Denny,
Like Stacy we incur the five second rule also unless there is visible filth. I would have ate it, if it were my own blood and all LOL
Hope you are feeling better every day and it's great to see you blogging!
