well, since you're a fellow Neil Finn fan, how about "Kiss the road of Rarotonga" from the Finn album. heh. i can't imagine what that one would sound like on violin! 8O

Mr. L: I've noted your request. Hold tight!
Seven: I guess you'll have to be there in spirit!
Michelle: Good one!
MrsMogul: Wish I knew you then... I bet you made a cute usher!
Dan: Goody...another Finn fan...Is that from their NEW CD, though? It doesn't sound familiar. I don't have their new one yet. If I can't get it, I'll have to ask you for another entry...(boo hoo)

I'd be interested to hear System of a Down's "Chop Suey" played on violin. That would be COOL.
Or anything by Tool.

I am so glad you decided to play and your choices - excellent - but I had no doubt they would be. Crowded House is such a great band and I am a long-time fan of Counting Crows - great lyrics and U2 - I have always wanted to see live. The Adagio - tragic indeed and beautiful.
Your song Sunshine is very cool. I just love the violin and you have such a unique style. I plan to have a proper listen to your clips over the weekend and am definitely interested in your new CD. Anyway, hope to catch you live when I am in NYC - June.
Good luck with the new design of the blog - I can just see your personality shining through.
Have a great weekend. XO

Let's see: Aerosmith's "Walk this Way"? How about the DiVinyls' "I Touch Myself"? And this one might be interesting...Dave Brubeck's "Take Five".
Go for it, babe!
And damn I wish I were closer to the city!!!

Dawn, Nat, Pantergirl, & Becka... you guys are REALLY challenging me... but I'll start in on these as soon as I get back from Woodstock on Wednesday. I'll be up there trying to finish the new CD!!! So I'll be up for the challenge! YIPPEE!!!
Daniel...Just downloaded the new Finn Brothers album from itunes. Can't wait to hear it in the car tomorrow!
Christine: Thanks for everything!
Birdie, Panthergirl, Seven, Becka & Robin: Thanks so much for the support! The gig went great. It felt so good to actually PLAY music instead of just BLOGGING about it! I can't wait to book a bundh more gigs now to start promoting the new CD! Hopefully I'll be playing in your areas soon...
Robin, Thanks. Not sure when I'll be in Toronto. I was there not long ago with Cyndi, but I hope to be there in my own right sometime in the next year. I'll let you know!

hmmm.... The Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits would probably a bit challenging on violin.... maybe. I so suck when it comes to imagining something like that.

NO FAIR. You play the happiest song you know, Sunshine, and of course it's in D, for the vitamin, and of course my clothes are off, and then when I go to comment, because I am so happy now, I see that all the other comments are talking about something else entirely.
So I go back and see you changed the subject, challenging us to come up with music uncharacteristic of the violin. Torn in half as I am, I get to work and challenge you to the following: mimic or improve on the womanly voice of SLIDE GUITAR. How do you Raitt next to Bonnie?
Yuck! (this could be the worst idea I ever had, now that I hear it in my head.)
And now I see you've left the room and taken everyone with you. OK. I'm putting my clothes on.
